UFC 252 Odds: Miocic vs. Cormier 3 Picks

After a run of five free events on ESPN/ESPN+, the UFC is back on pay-per-view (PPV) this weekend and the headline fight is between heavyweights Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier.

At the time of publishing, there are only ten fights scheduled for UFC 252.

I ended up going undefeated (4-0) this past week for UFC on ESPN+ 32. My three straight bets all hit (Lewis by TKO/KO. Weidman ML and Dariush ML). I also hit my parlay this week.

All in all, I ended up +5.42 units and will look to build upon that with my UFC 252 best bets.

Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic Predictions

Fight Odds: Cormier (-120) vs. Miocic (-110)

This is one of the closest main events I can remember in recent memory.

Cormier (22-2-0-1) and Miocic (19-3) are both legends in MMA.

These two first fought in 2018 and Cormier upset Miocic to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship, but then in the rematch in 2019, Miocic ended up winning to earn the belt back.

Cormier won his fight by 1st round KO, while Miocic won by 4th round TKO. However, despite winning the second fight, Miocic lost the striking battle pretty badly (181 vs. 123).

Miocic has much better cardio then Cormier, though, and by getting the fight into the later rounds, he was able to start capitalizing on Cormier leaving his hands down.

Miocic landed some brutal body shots and then was able to finish off Cormier.

Honestly, this fight could go either way. Cormier has a wrestling edge and this fight will be fought in the smaller cage, which gives him a slight edge. On the other hand, Miocic is a better striker, he has an 8’’ reach advantage and he didn’t seem fazed by what Cormier threw at him in the second fight.

Cormier could end this fight early, but my money is on a late Miocic TKO/KO in R4/R5.

Best Bet: Stipe Miocic ML (-110) at America’s Bookie

Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera Predictions

Fight Odds: O’Malley (-310) vs. Vera (+250)

If you’re in the USA, America’s Bookie has the best price on O’Malley straight up.

O’Malley (12-0) is 3-0 in the UFC since winning TUF 26 Finale, but this is going to be his biggest test yet, as Vera (15-6-1) is an experienced UFC fighter despite being just 27-years-old.

However, it’s tough to see O’Malley losing here. It would ruin all of his momentum and from what we’ve seen out of the Montana fighter, he looks like one of the next UFC stars.

Sugar is already 2-0 this year with wins against Quinonez (TKO) and Wineland (KO). He’s averaging 6.86 SLpM compared to 3.70 SLpM for Chito and he’ll have a 2’’ reach advantage (72’’ vs. 70’’).

Vera has never been finished in his career, but neither had Holtzman prior to last weekend.

While I won’t be betting on the O’Malley ML other than on parlays, I like him to win by TKO/KO.

Best Bet: Sean O’Malley by TKO/KO (+160)

Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Junior dos Santos Predictions

Fight Odds: Rozenstruik (-145) vs. dos Santos (+115)

I’m not sold on Rozenstruik (10-1) yet and I love getting the Brazilian at plus money.

Junior dos Santos (21-7) is still a formidable opponent in the heavyweight division. He has lost his last two fights by TKO against Ngannou and Blaydes, but prior to those losses he was on a three-fight win streak, which included wins against Ivanov (Decision) and Lewis (TKO).

Rozenstruik is 4-1 in the UFC and coming off his first loss, which was against Ngannou (KO). He was only able to last 20 seconds before the fight ended, JDS lasted 1:11 against Ngannou.

What concerns me a bit about JDS is that he has now been knocked out five times. He has a weak chin for the heavyweight division and Rozenstruik has the power to end this with one punch.

However, JDS is also capable of outworking his opponent with his boxing and a sharp jab.

Best Bet: Junior dos Santos ML (+115) at America’s Bookie

UFC 252 Parlay

UFC bettors will get the best odds on most fights at America’s Bookie this weekend.

Here’s my parlay for UFC 252:

O’Malley ML + Burns ML ($100 Bet Pays $78 Profit at America’s Bookie)

Be careful betting UFC 252 parlays this weekend guys. There isn’t a ton to like.

With just ten scheduled fights at the moment and multiple toss-ups, it’s better to focus on a few straight bets you like this weekend for UFC 252 rather than try to hit a big parlay.
