As difficult as it is to believe, the Washington Nationals are the reigning champions of baseball. What a season for this team and what a turnaround after late May. The Nat’s were in the cellar and nobody game them a chance to win the World Series. They found a way and it all happened without the highest-paid professional athlete in history – Bryce Harper. The Nationals played their way into the playoffs after securing the Wild Card victory and the rest is dominating-history. We had the Nationals ranked 10th in week 26, the last ranking before the playoffs. Here is what we said, “The Nats still have an outside chance and they seriously need help. It’s probably too late but in baseball, anything can happen.”
Home Teams Overall: 1303-1163 SU, 1120-1346 ATS Favorites Overall: 1476-965 SU, 1111-1355 ATS Home Favorites Overall: 934-603 SU, 655-890 ATS Total Line: 1166 OVER, 1181 UNDER
The offseason will go in a flash and before we know it pitchers and catchers will be reporting in February. The 2020 season will be an interesting one indeed with many big names on the free-agent front. The National have the luxury of ‘most players coming back’ – they thought they were rebuilding! No matter who you may be rooting for, the Yankees, the Astros, the Dodgers, or the Orioles, there is one common denominator; win money. Take a look at the ROI rankings and how the season stacked up against the money trail.
2020 World Series Odds: +600 Record: 117-63 SU and 96-84-0 Run Line Previous Rank: 2 Profit: $2,120.11 ROI: 78.52%
The Astros may have orchestrated the biggest meltdown in the history of sports. They certainly accomplished this feat in baseball. We had them dead at 0-2 but they showed up in DC and won threw in a row. We still looked good on our prediction of “Astros in 6”. The rest is history. This team will be back, they have too much talent to just go away. They made bettors a lot of money and will do the same next season.
2020 World Series Odds: +1500 Record: 105-74 SU and 102-77-0 Run Line Previous Rank: 10 Profit: $666.58 ROI: 9.52%
The Nat’s are the world champions and here they are 9th on the rankings. This ranking is all about money, not rings. They had an amazing playoff run and fantastic pitching. This season will be next to impossible to duplicate.
Having lived in several different states I am never quite
sure where I should say that I am from! I was born in WA. State. I did not grow
up there. My family moved to Idaho when I was a young boy, where we lived for
11 years. As a result of my fathers occupation; I have had the privilage to
experience many states and different cultures around the country.
I have lived in WA, OR, CA, ID, CO, KS, NY, MO, TX, FL, IN,
NV, AZ, and Hawaii. I have also lived in Puerto Rico, Mexico, El Salvador,
Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. I have managed to visit or live in, 49 of our great
states and travel extensively throughout Central America. My travels have taken
me to such places as Sinaloa, Chiapas, Myan ruins in Guatemala, and many, many
others. I believe that I have had the honor to visit every Mexican state.
I am an English teacher by trade and love helping others
improve thir lives through education. I have taught for institutions such as
The University of Washington (Go Huskies) Berlitz, and a few other
international language academies. I have obtained many degrees in the school of
hard knocks, by way of old fashioned experience! Such as driving taxi,
working at McDonalds, working for giant retailers as well as giant casinos! A
jack of all trades for sure.
I love sports! My passion is sports. I love talking about
it, arguing about it, following and keeping up with the current state of
affairs. Having lived in many places helps me connect with many different fan
bases. As a writer, this is a real advantage to have. I can connect with a
Yankees fan, or a Chargers fan. I love it and I hope to continue to give
readers a different perspective than the average, run of the mill story will
As you read my stories; I hope you enjoy them. I hope they
make you think, maybe make you happy and even make you mad! As you read further
you may discover that over the years; I have been influenced by people such as
Jim Rome, or Colin Cowherd. These are the kinds of folks that make me think and
make me see sports differently.
