The Cincinnati Reds activated third baseman Mike Moustakas from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday night's game against the host Los Angeles Dodgers.

Moustakas was placed on the IL on April 20 while dealing with a non-COVID-related illness. The move was retroactive to April 17.

The 32-year-old is listed in the lineup as batting cleanup and playing third base against the Dodgers.

"He's healthy and feels physically ready to go," Reds manager David Bell told reporters. "He got in a few days of good baseball work (and) he's ready to go from a baseball standpoint."

Moustakas is batting .289 with two homers and five RBIs in 12 games this season.

The three-time All-Star is a .251 career hitter with 192 homers and 593 RBIs in 1,187 games with the Kansas City Royals (2011-18), Milwaukee Brewers (2018-19) and Reds.

Cincinnati optioned outfielder Mark Payton to the alternate training site in a corresponding move. The 29-year-old Payton was 1-for-6 with a run scored in eight games.
