Las Vegas Aces post player A'ja Wilson was unanimously chosen as the WNBA Rookie of the Year, the league announced Sunday.
Wilson averaged 20.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.67 blocked shots for the Aces. She joined Minnesota's Seimone Augustus (21.9 in 2006) as the lone rookies in WNBA history to average at least 20 points.
The 6-foot-4 Wilson was an All-Star selection and won three Rookie of the Month awards while impressing the 39-member voting panel.
Wilson, the top overall pick in the 2018 draft, is the second straight former South Carolina star to win top rookie honors. Allisha Gray of the Dallas Wings was the 2017 winner.
Joining Wilson on the WNBA All-Rookie Team are Washington Mystics forward Ariel Atkins, Chicago Sky guard Diamond DeShields, Dallas Wings forward/center Azura Stevens and Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell.
