Seattle Storm All-Star forward Natasha Howard was accused of domestic abuse by her wife Jackie on Saturday.
Jackie Howard made her allegations on Twitter early Saturday morning, showing videos and screenshots of text messages that she claims are instances of domestic violence from Natasha Howard.
The Storm said they are investigating the allegations.
"The organization is aware of the recent allegations against Natasha," co-owner Lisa Brummel and general manager Alisha Valavanis said in a statement. "We are in communication with the league and looking into them."
Jackie Howard describes a long pattern of violence and emotional abuse during her lengthy dialogue. She indicated she was going to seek a restraining order.
"Most victims don't even know they're victims until it's near the end," she wrote. "The physical part is almost, ALWAYS the last step. I was isolated, manipulated, mentally, spiritually, and verbally."
Natasha Howard, 27, is averaging 17.6 points and 8.5 rebounds in 17 games this season.
