Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young will miss Sunday night's game at the Brooklyn Nets due to a sore left hamstring.

Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce indicated Young had a tight hamstring in practice Saturday with discomfort continuing after the team arrived in New York.

Young, 21, is scoring 28.9 points per game with 8.4 assists for the Hawks, who are on a three-game losing streak. It is just the fourth game Young has missed this season.

Atlanta's No. 5 overall selection out of Oklahoma in the 2018 NBA Draft, Young has averaged 22.1 points and 8.2 assists over the first 117 games of his career.
