San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan will miss Sunday night's game at Minnesota for personal reasons, the team announced.
The San Antonio Express-News reported that the four-time All-Star forward was tending to his ill father in Los Angeles.
The Spurs are 3-0 on their current road trip heading into Sunday's game against the Timberwolves in Minneapolis.
San Antonio finishes the road swing Tuesday at Oklahoma City. DeRozan's status for that game is unknown.
DeRozan leads the Spurs in scoring (21.2) and assists (7.0) per game through nine games this season. He had 38 points in a 125-122 overtime win at Minnesota on Saturday.
DeRozan, 31, is in his third season with San Antonio after playing his first nine seasons with the Toronto Raptors. He has averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 829 career games (817 starts).
