The Oregon Ducks continued their good week on the recruiting trail on Sunday, when four-star shooting guard Addison Patterson announced he would join the team this season.
Patterson, 6-foot-6, reclassified from the 2020 class, where he was ranked as the 35th-best prospect in the 247Sports composite ratings. The website adjusted him to No. 42 in the 2019 class and elevated the Ducks to having the fourth-best class in the nation.
On Tuesday, five-star center N'Faly Dante from Wichita, Kan., committed to Oregon after also reclassifying from the 2020 recruiting class.
Patterson, a Canadian by way of Bella Vista Prep in Scottsdale, Ariz., also had offers from Arizona State, Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Maryland, Illinois and others.
The Ducks lost three players early to the NBA Draft but are reloading after surging late last season, winning the Pac-12 tournament and reaching the Sweet 16 before losing to eventual champ Virginia. Senior point guard Payton Pritchard is back to lead the roster, which was boosted by the addition of grad transfers Anthony Mathis (New Mexico) and Shakur Juiston (UNLV), plus five-star freshman forward CJ Walker.
