Justin Smith is leaving Indiana as a graduate transfer.

The 6-foot-7 forward will be eligible to play immediately in 2020-21.

Hoosiers coach Archie Miller released a statement confirming the news Friday on Twitter.

"I support his decision and wish Justin and his family all the best in this next chapter," Miller said. "I'm proud of his growth as a person, he's a great young man and has been a terrific role model off the court and in the classroom."

Smith averaged 10.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in 32 starts for the Hoosiers in 2019-20. He shot 49.2 percent from the field and led the team with 31 steals.

In three seasons in Bloomington, he averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 23.5 minutes in 98 games (73 starts).
