Boston College guard Wynston Tabbs has entered the transfer portal, two outlets reported Thursday, days after he was suspended for the rest of the season and the Eagles fired their head coach.

The school suspended Tabbs on Monday for violating COVID-19 protocols. The move came hours after Jim Christian was fired as head coach.

BC (3-13) is currently on pause due to COVID-19 issues within the program. The Eagles' game Wednesday was postponed, as is their upcoming contest on Tuesday against North Carolina.

Tabbs was averaging 13.3 points per game in 12 games (eight starts) this season. He last played Jan. 16, scoring 14 points in a loss to Notre Dame. Tabbs missed the entire 2019-20 season following knee surgery.

Assistant Scott Spinelli will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

ESPN and 247Sports reported Tabbs' move.
