Guard Seventh Woods announced Friday that he will use his final season of eligibility at South Carolina after playing his first three at North Carolina.

Woods declared that he was joining the Gamecocks on his Instagram account.

It's a homecoming for him. He was the 2016 South Carolina Mr. Basketball selection as a high school senior.

At North Carolina, he averaged just 1.8 points in 94 games with the Tar Heels. He averaged 2.5 points and 2.1 assists in 34 games last season.

Woods made the decision to transfer in April. He also considered Gonzaga and Michigan.

Under NCAA rules, he must sit out the 2019-20 season.
