The NFL got back to normal after three weeks of wild upsets. For the time being, other than the Los Angeles Rams, nobody has looked dominant, underdogs should continue to have great value for football bettors.

Favorites: 12-3 SU and 8-6-1 ATS (Season: 37-21-2 SU and 25-33-2 ATS)
Favorite of 7 or more: 4-0 SU and 2-1-1 ATS (Season: 9-5 SU and 6-7-1 ATS)
Favorites of 3 or less: 5-3 SU and 4-4 ATS  (Season: 12-12-2 SU and 10-15-1 ATS)
Home Underdogs: 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS (Season: 5-4-2 SU and 9-2 ATS)
Pick Games: Home team 3-0 ATS

This all leads to our score-based Power Ratings, which is new this season. These type of ratings are based not only on records but on how teams did against the point spread, which gives us a broader view when it comes to understanding the strengths of a team when making lines.

Here are this week's ranking and team updates. Your comments are always welcome.

1. Los Angeles Rams

Odds: +333
Record: 4-0 SU and 3-0-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 1st

The Rams were tested, but not necessarily pushed by Minnesota. This Sunday's game will continue to add insight about if L.A. North is really as good as they have played as we move into October.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

Odds: +750
Record: 4-0 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 2nd

Kansas City was finally truly tested and they were brilliant in fourth quarter road comeback on both sides of the ball. Jacksonville will bring another strong challenge.

3. Baltimore Ravens

Odds: +1600
Record: 3-1 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 4th

Baltimore dismantled Pittsburgh and continues to be awesome in the second half in any game. Joe Flacco is like a different quarterback and obviously loves tight ends and wide receivers that can get open.

4. New Orleans Saints

Odds: +1100
Record: 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 5th

New Orleans running game is starting to rock which makes the Saints offense more complete and Drew Brees an even more effective pass-action passer. Intriguing Monday matchup with Washington this week.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

Odds: +1200
Record: 3-1 SU and 3-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 9th

As we talked about here last week, if Jacksonville manhandled the Jets, the Tennessee loss is forgiven. Must see TV this week is their confrontation with Kansas City. #defensevsoffense

6. Green Bay Packers

Odds: +1800
Record: 2-1-1 SU and 2-2 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 13th

Making a bad Buffalo offense look worse was good the Green Bay defense. Aaron Rogers knew the Packers should have whipped the Bills 38-0, not 22-0 if the offense was sharper. A big battle against Detroit this week.

7. Minnesota Vikings

Odds: +1800
Record: 1-2-1 SU and 1-2-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 3rd

As opposed to offense, keeping fantastic defensive numbers is harder to do with changes and enough player movement. Minnesota's pass defense is down to 23rd and will have to improve for the Vikings to better their record.

8. Carolina Panthers

Odds: +3300
Record: 2-1 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 7th

Panthers are coming off a bye week and have the New York Giants in Charlotte. Great chance to rev up the passing game and the pass rush.

9. New England Patriots

Odds: +3300
Record: 2-2 and 2-2 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 16th

The Patriots went back to basics against Miami and mauled them. New England went with a run-first mentality and look for them to do the same against Indianapolis on Thursday.

10. Cincinnati Bengals

Odds: +3300
Record: 3-1 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 10th

While questions continue about the Cincinnati defense, QB Andy Dalton is running a boiling hot offense. Another excellent measuring stick conflict taking on Miami.

11. Los Angeles Chargers

Odds: +2500
Record: 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 14th

The Chargers were far from impressive in knocking off the Niners. The Bolts should be above .500 for the first time this season when hosting Oakland, but their defense ranks 30th in yards per point allowed.

12. Philadelphia Eagles

Odds: +1600
Record: 2-2 and 1-3 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 6th

At just 20.5 PPG, the Philadelphia offense is not doing the job, which places a great deal of stress on the defense. Facing Minnesota, even at home does not mean a victory.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers

Odds: +2000
Record: 1-2-1 SU and 1-3 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 8th

Coach Mike Tomlin said after the loss to Baltimore, his team just has to keep working and strive to improve. Since the loss in the playoffs to Jacksonville, others are questioning just how good Pittsburgh really is.

14. Atlanta Falcons

Odds: +4000
Record: 1-3 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 12th

The Falcons can score on anyone and their depleted defense can allow points to anyone. Facing a Pittsburgh team in the same situation as they are cannot be comforting to Atlanta.

15.  Detroit Lions

Odds: +8000
Record: 1-3 SU and 3-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 11th

Detroit has another early season must-win home game after a setback at Dallas. The Lions have the worst run defense in football and might catch a break facing Green Bay.

16. Tennessee Titans

Odds: +4000
Record: 3-1 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 19th

Looky here! Tennessee is 3-1 and making the necessary plays on both sides of the ball. The upside potential is there also for the Titans if Marcus Mariota and others keep getting healthy. Tennessee better not take the Bills lightly this week.

17. Seattle Seahawks

Odds: +5000
Record: 2-2 and 1-2-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 17th

In Seattle's case, a win is a win, but they were fortunate to have there way against Arizona. An upset of the Rams would be a massive morale-builder.

18. Chicago Bears

Odds: +2200
Record: 3-1 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 26th

Chicago is starting to look much improved on both sides of the ball and are playing with a great deal of confidence. Talk radio in Chi-Town has two weeks to sing the praises of Mitchell Trubisky with the Bears bye.

19. Washington Redskins

Odds: +5000
Record: 2-1 SU and 2-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 20th

Off a bye week, rugged assignment for the Redskins on the road in the bayou. Good news, Washington is 4-2 and 5-1 ATS in Cajun country.

20. Dallas Cowboys

Odds: +5000
Record: 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 21st

The Dallas running game is ramping up with 349 total yards the last two weeks. To beat Houston this week, they will need it at full force again.

21. San Francisco 49ers

Odds: +12500
Record: 1-3 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 22nd

Unexpectedly game effort by San Francisco at Carson, CA versus the Chargers. This week they will have awesome opportunity to take one step closer to .500 when facing winless Arizona.

22. Houston Texans

Odds: +5000
Record: 1-3 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 23rd

A win is a win and Houston snapped nine-game losing streak dating back to last season. Motivation should not be an issue with Dallas in H-Town, but they have to prove it on the field.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Odds: +8000
Record: 2-2 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 15th

Ryan Fitzpatrick's been benched four quarters removed from three 400+ yards passing days. Like the "Macarena" guys, Fitzpatrick and Tampa Bay is like Los del Rio. (Google it)

24. Miami Dolphins

Odds: +6600
Record: 3-1 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 18th

Miami was in the wrong place at the wrong time having to play the Brady Bunch on the road. Realistically, hard to be excited about a team being out-gained by 89 yards a game.

25. New York Giants

Odds: +8000
Record: 1-3 SU and 1-3 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 24th

Tony Romo said the Giants offensive line is better than last year. Where? Best guess he was trying to say something nice. Aging Eli Manning might want to do a Vontae Davis after seeing Carolina pass rush this week.

26. Indianapolis Colts

Odds: +10000
Record: 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 28th

Colts coach caught too much flak for playing to win instead of settling for tie. Regardless, a short week with little prep time for a game in New England is hardly ideal.

27. Denver Broncos

Odds: +6600
Record: 2-1 SU and 0-2-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 29th

Denver expended a lot of energy in loss to Kansas City an might find it difficult to be ready to play at the New York Jets this week.

28. Oakland Raiders

Odds: +12500
Record: 1-3 SU and 1-2-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 31st

It was not easy or pretty, but Oakland had their Al Davis moment, "Just Win Baby". If Derek Carr would just start drilling passes, he'd likely make fewer mistakes. The rivalry game with Chargers on Sunday.

29. New York Jets

Odds: +20000
Record: 1-3 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 25th

The Jets upset of Detroit is looking less impressive with each passing week. Gang Green will have a shot a victory over against Denver whose on a short week off a division battle.

30. Cleveland Browns

Odds: +10000
Record: 1-2-1 and 3-0-1 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 30th

The same is true as it's been all season, Cleveland is getting better, they just have to believe they will win. Proving that against Baltimore, even at home will not be easy.

31. Buffalo Bills

Odds: +30000
Record: 1-3 SU and ATS
Last Week's Rank: 27th

By trading A.J. McCarron, Buffalo sinks or swims with Josh Allen at quarterback. If you saw the Green Bay game, the learning curve has a ways to go. Can the Bills step up for Tennessee?

32. Arizona Cardinals

Odds: +50000
Record: 0-4 SU and 2-2 ATS
Last Week's Rank: 32nd

The Cardinals could have easily won their last two games, but a couple plays in each contest prevented that from happening. Can Arizona overcome itself and beat San Francisco?
