Through the first 13 weeks of the NFL regular season, Intertops online sportsbook has had avid sports bettors covered with a complete set of betting lines for the games. This includes a set of weekly prop bet odds for individual player performances at the quarterback, running back and wide receiver/tight end position.
The ‘best of the best’ at all these positions remain in a heated battle to top the list in total passing yards, rushing yards and receiving yards heading into Week 14. For this week’s top betting pick for one of these special player props, I have zeroed in on the posted odds for most receiving yards.
NFL Week 14 Most Receiving Yards
Last week’s results threw sports bettors a curveball with Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce leading the way with 168 receiving yards on 12 receptions. Second on the list was Chicago running back Tarik Cohen with 12 catches for 156 yards. That was an unusual twist after a wide receiver held the top five positions on the list in total receiving yards the previous two weeks.
The player at the top of this week’s prop bet list is Atlanta wide receiver Julio Jones at +1200. He is also at the top of the list in total receiving yards in the NFL through the first 13 games of the season. Matt Ryan’s top target in the passing game has caught 86 passes for 1,323 yards. Jones was completely shut down last week in a loss to Baltimore with just two receptions for 18 yards after posting at least 100 yards receiving in each of his previous six games.
He should be able to return to form this Sunday with the Falcons on the road against the struggling Green Bay Packers. One note on this play is that Jones has been hampered with a sore foot, but still listed as probable for this game.
There is a logjam of seven players with at least 1,100 total receiving yards this season lining up behind Jones led by Minnesota’s Adam Thielen (1,166). His odds to lead the way this week are set at +1800, but the Vikings have a tough test this Monday night on the road against Seattle.
Also on this list is New Orleans Saints’ wide receiver Michael Thomas with 1,120 yards just behind Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans (1,121). These two NFC South Division rivals clash this Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. The Saints are listed as nine-point road favorites against the Bucs with the total set at 55 points in anticipation of a possible shootout between two of the top passing teams in the league.
Thomas’s betting odds to lead the NFL in receiving yards in Week 14 have been set at +2000 to add some serious value to this pick. Evans comes into this game with +1800 odds to top the list. Each of these players are set up to have a big day catching the ball, but the overall edge does go to Thomas facing a Buccaneers’ defense that is ranked 27th in the NFL against the pass. The Saints’ defense moves up to 15th in that same category.
The top value pick for this prop could be wide receiver Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers at +1400 betting odds. His team will play host to Cincinnati this Sunday as heavy 14-point favorites. Allen is farther down the list in total receiving yards this season with 996 on 83 receptions. However, with Philip Rivers throwing him the ball against a Bengals’ defense that is ranked dead last in the league in total passing yards allowed, Allen should be able to put up a big number catching it.
