NFL Picks: Niners, Seahawks in a test of wills on Monday
by Brad Mullins Scores & Statson
The Los Angeles Chargers do this every year. They start out good then the wheels start coming off the bus, then they pick it back up and give their fans hope. Can they keep a good thing going against a streaky Raiders? They must! There is no other choice if this team wants to stay competitive with the Chiefs for the AFC West.
We knew the Patriots were not going 16-0, it was simply a matter of time. For possibly the first time in his life, Bill Belichick looked baffled. He was as lost as a goose in that battle against the Ravens and did Baltimore look tough. We are not crowning them, but watch out for them. The Ravens brought down Brady and that’s confidence.
Monday nights game in San Francisco will prove to be yet another test of wills for a conference battle. The NFC West is fierce and Seattle must win. This team has to have this win or their season is in jeopardy. Wilson is having a banner year but so are the 49ers. It’s safe to say the 49ers are back. They are really good and proved they can protect their records on the road. Now it’s up to Seattle to find a big road victory.
Chargers vs. Raiders (SF -1.5, O/U: 48.5) Best Line: Bovada
The Chargers come in hot after securing two road victories, this doesn’t mean they beat the Raiders! This rivalry is a good one and is always a battle. The Chargers have the momentum and the Raiders are improving. In Oakland, with time winding down on their legacy we think the vast improvements will shine and the Chargers take a dump. Raiders 31, Chargers 30.
Lions vs. Bears (CHI -2.5, O/U 42) Best Line: America’s Bookie
The Bears must win this game, period, end of the story. They must find some offense. Can they lose another home game? Probably but we love the over. Both teams find their offense in this one. OVER 42.
Ravens vs. Bengals (BAL -10, O/U 37) Best Line: Intertops
The Bengals are not a bit good and Dalton could see the bench in this one. They need answers and nothing is working. The Ravens just beat the Patriots and we think this week is letdown time. We love the Ravens and love a close win, but not -10 on the road. Bengals +10.
Bills vs. Browns (CLE -2.5, O/U: 40.5) Best Line: JazzSports
The Bills returned to victory lane last week and we think they keep it going. The Browns have no idea who they are; they just have Baker, that’s all they know! Bills MONEY LINE WIN.
Falcons vs. Saints (NO -13, O/U: 52) Best Line: Bovada
The Saints are the best team in the NFL and they will keep it going this week against a very bad Falcons. Saints 34, Falcons 17.
They’re both bad but in the Meadowlands… more Giants fans will show up than Jets fans and the Jets are downright rotten. Giants 28, Jets 24.
Dolphins vs. Colts (IND -10.5, O/U: 44) Best Line: Intertops
Indy will win this game, however, the Dolphins know they can win a least one game and come in with a bit more confidence than in weeks past. Look for this one to be closer than 10 but don’t rely on it. The over is the play. OVER 44.
Vikings vs. Cowboys (DAL -3, O/U: 47.5) Best Line: Intertops
This battle will be fun to watch and could be an NFC Championship preview. They both have an offense that works and a defense that can be suspect. OVER 47.5.
Seahawks vs. 49ers (Dal -7, O/U: 48) Best Line: Intertops
The 49ers went on the road as big favorites in Phoenix. They didn’t cover and should have lost. They are still playing great football as is Russell Wilson. The Seahawks know the importance of this game, they must have it. The Seahawks win this on the road. Seahawks MONEY LINE WIN.
Having lived in several different states I am never quite
sure where I should say that I am from! I was born in WA. State. I did not grow
up there. My family moved to Idaho when I was a young boy, where we lived for
11 years. As a result of my fathers occupation; I have had the privilage to
experience many states and different cultures around the country.

me to such places as Sinaloa, Chiapas, Myan ruins in Guatemala, and many, many
others. I believe that I have had the honor to visit every Mexican state.
I am an English teacher by trade and love helping others
improve thir lives through education. I have taught for institutions such as
The University of Washington (Go Huskies) Berlitz, and a few other
international language academies. I have obtained many degrees in the school of
hard knocks, by way of old fashioned experience! Such as driving taxi,
working at McDonalds, working for giant retailers as well as giant casinos! A
jack of all trades for sure.
I love sports! My passion is sports. I love talking about
it, arguing about it, following and keeping up with the current state of
affairs. Having lived in many places helps me connect with many different fan
bases. As a writer, this is a real advantage to have. I can connect with a
Yankees fan, or a Chargers fan. I love it and I hope to continue to give
readers a different perspective than the average, run of the mill story will
As you read my stories; I hope you enjoy them. I hope they
make you think, maybe make you happy and even make you mad! As you read further
you may discover that over the years; I have been influenced by people such as
Jim Rome, or Colin Cowherd. These are the kinds of folks that make me think and
make me see sports differently.
