The AFC North is one of the most wide-open divisions in the NFL for the 2019-20 season.

Historically, the division has been wide open too. In the last four years, the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals have won the AFC North. This year the Browns are favored to win.

The Browns haven’t won the division since 1989, but are odds-on favorites. While the Bengals look weak this season, you could make a case for the Browns, Steelers, and Ravens winning the division.

Odds to Win the AFC North 2019

•    Cleveland Browns -115
•    Pittsburgh Steelers +165
•    Baltimore Ravens +325
•    Cincinnati Bengals +1350

Do the Browns deserve to be odds-on to win the AFC North? Hard to say. They have the best team on paper, but this is a team that was historically bad in recent years.

Odds and Prediction to Win the AFC East

Last year, the Browns turned the corner with a 7-8 record thanks to rookie Baker Mayfield, but they still finished the division in third place. I’m hesitant to bet the Browns at this price.

The best value is betting on the Ravens to repeat and that’s my prediction.

Cleveland Browns Team Preview

On paper, the Browns have a great offense. Mayfield will be throwing passes to Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and Antonio Callaway. They’re also strong at RB with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

They added some more defensive pieces in the draft to a defense that improved as the season went along last year. However, the team hasn’t had a winning record in 12 years and lack experience.

If the division is tight down the stretch, I have more faith in the Ravens and Steelers.

Pittsburgh Steelers Team Preview

I’m surprised the Steelers are second in the division winner market. They lost Antonio Brown and will be without Le’Veon Bell, as he’s now on the Jets. Bell didn’t play last season and Pittsburgh went 9-6.

James Conner was productive last season at RB but losing Brown hurts. JuJu Smith-Schuster had a big season too, but he’ll likely be double covered this season and he isn’t going to be as productive.

Ben Roethlisberger is another year older and I believe this team is going to struggle in 2019.

Baltimore Ravens Team Preview

The Ravens lost several vets on defense, including Terrell Suggs, Za’Darius Smith, and Eric Weddle, but they replaced some of that leadership with Earl Thomas and Shane Ray.

NFL 2019 Regular Season Player Props: Most Receiving Yards

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense started figuring things out as the season was concluding and they ended up winning the division Jackson is likely to improve, but he still lacks weapons.

Adding Mark Ingram at RB is a smart move, though. This team is going to rely on defense and try to run the football down their opponent's throats. That’s the type of football that wins games.

Cincinnati Bengals Team Preview

The Bengals were 6-10 last season and they could get worse this season. On paper, the Bengals have a terrible roster, especially when you consider Andy Dalton is still the starting QB.

Cincy had a rough draft, especially with their top two picks. Dalton is likely in his last season and he has limited weapons, especially if A.J. Green deals with injuries again.

There’s little doubt the Bengals will struggle and there’s no way they win the AFC North.
