The New York Rangers and free agent forward Phillip Di Giuseppe agreed to contract terms. the team officially announced Thursday.

The team did not give specifics but theScore reported it is a one-year, $700,000 deal.

Di Giuseppe, 25, appeared in 24 NHL games in the 2018-19 season: 21 with the Carolina Hurricanes and three with the Nashville Predators. He posted four points (one goal, three assists) on the season.

He also played in 26 American Hockey League games, scoring five goals with seven assists between the Charlotte Checkers and Milwaukee Admirals.

The Hurricanes selected Di Giuseppe in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft. In 150 NHL career games, he has registered 14 goals and 27 assists.
