The Minnesota Wild re-signed center Joel Eriksson Ek to a two-year deal worth $2.975 million on Wednesday.
The deal will pay Eriksson Ek $1.45 million this season and $1.525 million in 2020-21.
Eriksson Ek, 22, had seven goals and seven assists in 58 games last season, his second full year in the NHL. He finished third on the team last season with 117 hits.
The Wild took Eriksson Ek 20th overall in the 2015 draft. He had six goals and 10 assists in 75 games in 2017-18 after a promising cameo (three goals, four assists in 15 games) in his first NHL action in 2016-17.
