Duos representing the 2018 MLS Cup champion Atlanta Union and the 2019 MLS Supporters' Shield winners Los Angeles FC will take part in the eMLS Tournament Special on Saturday.

Atlanta United will oppose New York City FC -- who topped MLS' Eastern Conference standings last year -- in the first semi, followed by Sporting Kansas City against LAFC.

The virtual tournament using the FIFA 20 video game began with duos representing 16 MLS teams. The semifinals will begin Sunday at 6 p.m. ET, with the final to follow that evening. The matches will air on FS1 and TSN2.

Each squad is made up of an MLS player and an eMLS competitor. Matches consist of two legs -- with MLS players facing each other in the first leg, and eMLS players facing off in the second -- with aggregate score determining who advances in the single-elimination tournament.

Atlanta United, who already defeated Orlando City and Toronto FC, has a team consisting of defender Franco Escobar and Paulo "Paulo Neto" Neto, who is rated the world's 11th-best FIFA 20 player on PS4.

The NYCFC pair, who defeated the New Red Bulls and FC Dallas, are goalie Sean Johnson and Christopher "Didychrislito" Holly. Didychrislito won the inaugural eChampions League last June in Madrid.

Sporting Kansas City's players are midfielder Wan Kuzain and 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup finalist Alexander "Alekzandur" Betancourt, a pair who already knocked out Minnesota United and D.C. United.

Playing for LAFC, who got past the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Chicago Fire, are forward Adama Diomande and 2.
