Music City is showing massive support for its expansion MLS club with upper-deck tickets to Nissan Stadium now being sold for Nashville SC's home debut on Feb. 29 against Atlanta United.
The club still plans on regularly reconfiguring the Tennessee Titans' home stadium to 30,000 capacity, while keeping fans out of the upper deck, but demand is now driving the team to sell all of the stadium's 69,143 seats for the opener.
"Surpassing the 30,000 tickets sold already represents the largest crowd in Nashville SC's short history in professional soccer," Nashville SC CEO Ian Ayre said in a statement. "We want to keep the momentum going and show everyone here in Nashville and around the world that Nashville SC has arrived in the Major League, with a historic attendance."
Nashville SC is one of two expansions that will make its debut in MLS this season. Also coming on board is Inter Miami CF. Those two teams will face each other for the first time May 3 in Nashville.
Inter Miami will make its MLS debut March 1 at Los Angeles FC and will make its home debut March 14 against the Los Angeles Galaxy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
