Orlando City SC re-signed Spanish midfielder Oriol "Uri" Rosell to a two-year contract Monday.
Rosell, 27, joined the Lions in 2018 and has registered two assists in 42 matches (34 starts) in his first two seasons with the club.
"We are thrilled to have agreed to a new deal with Uri to bring him back to the Club for the coming seasons," said Orlando City executive vice president of soccer operations Luiz Muzzi. "Uri possesses great vision and his passing abilities add a great amount of control to our midfield. He's a leader with the 'locker room qualities' we want for our Club, so we look forward to having his veteran presence back within our squad in 2020."
No financial terms were released. Rosell made nearly $522,500 last season.
Before joining Orlando, Rosell spent four seasons in Portugal with Sporting CP.
Rosell began his MLS career with Sporting Kansas City, totaling two goals and two assists in 43 appearances (39 starts) from 2012-14. He helped Sporting KC win the 2013 MLS Cup Championship.
