Veteran right back Tony Beltran was among 11 players to have their 2019 contract options declined by Real Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Beltran had been with RSL since 2008. He sat out the entire 2018 season after undergoing ligament reconstruction surgery on his right knee late last year.

Beltran, 31, logged 230 starts in 245 games with RSL, including 21 during the 2017 campaign.

RSL also declined their options on defenders Demar Phillips, Shawn Barry and David Horst; midfielders Luke Mulholland, Jose Hernandez and Sunny; forwards Luis Silva and Ricky Lopez-Espin; and goalkeeper Connor Sparrow.

Forwards Jefferson Savarino, a designated player, and Corey Baird, the 2018 MLS Rookie of the Year, were among six RSL players to have their contract options picked up. Goalkeeper Andrew Putna, defenders Nick Besler and Danilo Acosta and midfielder Sebastian Saucedo were the others retained.
