The Philadelphia Union re-signed veteran defender Aurelien Collin and signed goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh to one-year contracts on Friday.

Collin, 35, is a three-time MLS All-Star and a former MLS Cup champion. The Frenchman has been in the league since 2011.

"We are pleased to have come to an agreement with Aurelien and welcome him back to our roster for the 2021 season," Union sporting director Ernst Tanner said in a news release. "His veteran presence has been invaluable for the club and we appreciate the guidance and knowledge he brings to our young team."

Collin, who originally signed with the Union in 2019, has tallied 13 goals and five assists in 182 games (170 starts) with Sporting Kansas City (2011-14), Orlando City (2015-16), New York Red Bulls (2016-18) and Philadelphia.

Ranjitsingh, 27, made three starts for Minnesota United in 2020 and two for Orlando City in 2019. He helped Louisville City win back-to-back USL CUp championships in 2017 and 2018.

The Ontario native competes internationally for Trinidad and Tobago.

"With a congested international schedule that will present opportunities to have our keepers called up to their respective national teams, it was important to add Greg to our roster and create depth in our goalkeeper unit," Tanner said. "He brings experience along with the type of work ethic our system requires, and we look forward to his contributions this season."
