After finishing the 2020 season with a record of 11-5, the Tennessee Titans are looking to win big in 2021. Honestly, the Titans just keep getting better, especially when they added Ryan Tannehill to the roster. The combination of Tannehill and Derrick Henry has done wonders for the offense. Last season, the Titans claimed their first double-digit win and division title since 2008. Although their record tied with the Indianapolis Colts, they won the tiebreaker based on record versus division opponents.
With the AFC South in their grasp, the Titans head to the NFL playoffs and faced the Baltimore Ravens. People expected this to be a tough game between these two AFC titans, and it was indeed. Both offenses looked a little stagnant, but the Ravens got the better of Tennessee. With a 20-13 loss, the Titans exited the playoffs. This was a tough loss for the Titans, but we can expect big things from the team this season. The question is, just how much can we expect?

Sure, the team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in 2020, but they’ve improved tremendously. Not to mention, the Titans were one of the only teams to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. The 2019 Chiefs are the same team that went on to win the Super Bowl. It’s clear that many analysts are counting out the Titans this year, but that’s okay. All this means is you can cash in on some incredible odds this year when betting on the Titans.
In all of the AFC, you won’t find a better rushing attack than the one in Tennessee. Running back Derrick Henry rushed for over 2,000 yards last season, earning him the Offensive Player of the Year award. The offensive line has seen more additions, but more importantly, they’ve added weapons for Ryan Tannehill. The Titans are only a slight favorite to win the AFC South at +110. Right behind them is the Indianapolis Colts, at +115. Strange enough, though the Titans are favored to win the division, the Colts are favored to win the Super Bowl.

Although the Titans saw a lot of their defensive players released, it was for a good reason. They needed big-time players in the secondary, and the 2020 depth chart didn’t cut it. The signing of Janoris Jenkins is going to do wonders for Tennessee’s secondary in 2021. With Jenkins, a seasoned veteran, developing the younger players, the secondary is in good shape. They also have some talent in Kristian Fulton and Caleb Farley, who are young but talented. They added Bud Dupree to an already strong front seven.
Their most notable addition is, of course, Julio Jones. An MVP caliber wide receiver that pairs well with A.J. Brown. Brown did a lot of work in the recruiting process to bring Jones to Tennessee. Last season, A.J. Brown hauled in over a thousand yards on his own. Imagine what the offense will look like now. Tennessee is looking to have an airtight offense this season, with a dynamic receiving corps and a once-in-a-lifetime running back. On both sides of the ball, the Titans are set.
Tennessee Titans 2021 Preview
Although the oddsmakers don’t expect great things from Tennessee this year, we do. The coaching staff in Tennessee is intelligent, filling the holes in the team each season. Year over year, the Titans have gotten better and are slowly receiving the recognition they deserve. Now, they’ve got their eye on something much bigger than an AFC South title. With a head coach like Mike Vrabel, someone familiar with Super Bowls, the Titans can do it.
The Titans have been out of talks to win a Super Bowl, but this year is as good as any. The addition of Julio Jones, along with the defensive players, is a recipe for success. The players have done work in the offseason and know they are overlooked. This creates a chip on their shoulder, much as the Kansas City Chiefs have. To say the Titans don’t have a chance at the AFC Championship is absurd.

The Titans are probably one of the easiest teams to score winnings on this year. First, take the over on the win totals. The Titans could easily go 12-5 this season. Next, be sure to take them to win the AFC South +110. The only team close to them is the Colts, and they have a new quarterback. Follow that pick with our dark horse to win the AFC. That +1500 odds will pay off in dividends this season. Lastly, if you’re feeling risky, take the Titans to win it all +2500. Sure, it’s a long shot, but they could shock everyone this season.
