2021 Brooklyn Nets Team Preview and Futures Odds
Odds to Win Atlantic Division: -280
Once again, the Nets are favored to win the division. Brooklyn is given -280 odds to win it. It’s easy to see why and it begins with the Big Three of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving.
The Nets finished second in the NBA in scoring (118.6 ppg) and were second in the conference in point differential (+5.5). The key to the Nets’ hopes is the health of Durant, Harden, and Irving. The trio played together in just 13 games last season. Brooklyn was 10-3 in those games.
2021 Philadelphia 76ers Team Preview and Futures Odds
Odds to Win Atlantic Division: +360
Like the Nets, the Sixers chances of a repeat will be directly proportional to the health of C Joel Embiid. He will be in the thick of the MVP race once again. The team still has to figure out what to do with Ben Simmons. There are rumors of a trade but nothing has transpired.
Philadelphia still has one of the stronger rosters in the league with Tobias Harris (19.5 ppg), Shake Milton (13.0 ppg), and Seth Curry (12.5 ppg). Philly is given +360 odds to win the division.
2021 Boston Celtics Team Preview and Futures Odds
Odds to Win Atlantic Division: +1000
Boston has one of the better young duos in the league in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The Celtics problem is the rest of the roster. They let Walker go and he ended up in New York.
The Celtics did acquire Dennis Schroder and big man Enes Kanter, but that won’t be enough in a loaded division. That’s why Boston is listed at +1000 to capture the Atlantic.
2021 New York Knicks Team Preview and Futures Odds
Odds to Win Atlantic Division: +3000
The most surprising early season odds to win a division belong to the New York Knicks. Tom Thibodeau’s team is the best defensive team in the league. Julius Randle (24.1 ppg, 10.2 rpg) is a rising star and the team just acquired point guard Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier.
The Knicks wound up fourth in the East last season. There’s no reason why they can’t pull the upset and win the division.
2021 Toronto Raptors Team Preview and Futures Odds
Odds to Win Atlantic Division: +5000
The odd team out is Toronto (+5000). The Raptors said goodbye to point guard Kyle Lowry leaving the fate of the franchise in the hands of Pascal Siakam. Those are some pretty good hands and the Raptors did draft Scottie Barnes, but a division title is not anywhere in the near future.
2022 NBA Atlantic Division Predictions
With the distractions surrounding Simmons in Philadelphia, it will take its toll on the 76ers. The Knicks actually have a great shot at winning the division. Defense wins championships and New York is the best in the NBA.
Still, the Big Three is just too good. If they can maintain their health and only miss games when scheduled to, Brooklyn will run away with the division.
