BPL Free Pick | Gorodeya vs. Dinamo Minsk

Hey guys, how’s everyone doing? I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!

It has been a couple weeks since my last free pick. Don’t blame me, I’m working with a depleted betting board. However, we’re going to go back to the Belarus Premier League this weekend.

I’m still undefeated here at SAS with a 5-0-2 record.

Game: Gorodeya (1-0-2) vs. Dinamo Minsk (1-0-2)

When: 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 11th, 2020

Where: Gorodeya Stadium, Gorodeya, Belarus

Current Line: Gorodeya (+378) / Dinamo Minsk (-123) / Draw (+236)

Asian Handicap: Gorodeya +0.5 (+104) vs. Dinamo Minsk -0.5 (-124)

Total: Over 2 Goals (-123) vs. Under 2 Goals (+103)

We have two struggling teams in this match-up, but one team is trending in the right direction.

I may have bet against Dinamo Minsk two weeks ago, but I’m backing them here.

Big Problems for Gorodeya

Firstly, let’s look at the problems Gorodeya are facing.

The biggest problem is that players haven’t been paid in two months, which was confirmed by manager Oleg Radushko.

I don’t care what you do for a living, it’s hard to be motivated when you’re not being paid.

Secondly, the team’s leading scorer from 2019, Artem Arkhipov, is stuck in Russia and hasn’t been able to travel to Belarus to start playing with his squad yet this season.

Without Arkhipov, Gorodeya have struggled to score goals.

Gorodeya opened up the season with two scoreless losses. They lost 1-0 to Vitebsk in the season opener and then they lost 2-0 to Shakhtyor. They won last week against Belshina (1-0).

Dinamo Minsk Starting to Click

Dinamo Minsk started the season with a 1-0 loss to Ruh Brest and they followed that up with a loss to FC Minsk (3-2), but they were down 3-0 after the 1H and fought back hard.

HIGHLIGHTS | FK Minsk 3-2 Dinamo Minsk | Belarus Premier League

They finally got in the win column last week after defeating Torpedo BelAZ (2-0).

How to Bet On Horse Races

Scoring hasn’t really been a problem for Dinamo Minsk. They have scored four goals in their first three games, but they have also allowed four goals, which they’ll need to improve on.

This is a great chance to keep a clean sheet, as Gorodeya have one goal in three matches.

Bet on Dinamo Minsk to Win

The total tempted me in this match, as over 2 looks solid, but will Gorodeya even score? Based on the numbers, they’re unlikely to even score, so I feel it’s safer to bet on Dinamo Minsk to win.

These two teams played against each other twice last season and the home team prevailed in both matches. Dinamo Minsk won 1-0 at home and Gorodeya won 3-1 at home.

However, these teams are heading in opposite directions. Gorodeya is likely going to be fighting a relegation battle all season whereas Dinamo Minsk has a chance to compete for a top 3 finish.

Dinamo Minsk have a lot of new players, but this is their fourth match in the BPL this season and I like what I’ve seen out of them lately. They looked real good at home last week.
