CFL Week 10 Odds and Predictions

It’s Week 10 in the CFL and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are still unbeaten. The Bombers fell behind Montreal last week but still managed to pull out the victory.

CFL Bookies

BC continues to be the best team in the CFL not named Winnipeg. QB Nathan Rourke is making a solid case for the league’s Most Outstanding Player.

Both BC and Winnipeg are in action in Week 10. How will they fare? Here is a look at the CFL Week 10 odds and predictions.

Montreal Alouettes vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Spread: WPG -11.5 / Total: 48.5 Points

Winnipeg didn’t play all that well last week but still managed to beat Montreal 35-20 on the road. The Blue Bombers remained unbeaten as the defense held Alouettes QB Trevor Harris to 127 passing yards.

Blue Bombers QB Zach Collaros threw two interceptions but came back to throw two touchdown passes as Winnipeg scored 21 fourth-quarter points in the win.

Winnipeg is now 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS on the season. The Bombers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games and 18-6 in their last 24 games at home.

The Blue Bombers have beaten Montreal by double digit points in the last four head-to-head meetings. Still, Winnipeg hasn’t been a double-digit favorite yet this season. Still, covering 11.5 points is tough to do, especially when the Alouettes offense scores 26.4 points per game.

The Alouettes defense, on the other hand, gives up 28.5 a game. Four of the last five Montreal games have gone Over and in this series the O/U record in the last ten games is 8-1-1.

PICK: OVER 48.5

Football Odds

Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Spread: HAM -2.5 / Total: 46 Points

Led by QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Toronto came back to beat Hamilton 34-20 last week. The Tiger- Cats got 303 passing yards from QB Dane Evans but still lost.

Despite the loss the Ti-Cats are favored at home this week. Hamilton is just 2-6 on the season with both wins coming at home. The Ti-Cats are 19-5 in their last 24 games at home, but only 1-4 ATS in the last five at home. Toronto is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games on the road.

Toronto is 5-20 SU in its last 25 games on the road. With the Argos recent play on the road and Hamilton’s at home, stick with the home favorite.

PICK: HAMILTON TIGER-CATS -2.5

BC Lions vs. Calgary Stampeders

Spread: BC -2 / Total: 53.5 Points

BC continues to light up CFL defenses, especially Edmonton. Last week, Lions QB Nathan Rourke set new career highs of 477 yards passing and five touchdowns in a 46-14 BC Win. Now, they play at Calgary and that will be much tougher.

Calgary beat Ottawa 17-3 last week as the defense didn’t allow a touchdown. When the Stampeders don’t play Winnipeg, they are pretty good. Calgary is 5-2 this season with both losses to the Blue Bombers.

BC is 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games. They are also 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games. Calgary has only covered once in its last five home games. The Stampeders won both games against BC last year by double-digit margins.

Calgary’s defense will make life difficult for Rourke and playing home look for the Stampeders to pull the upset.

PICK: CALGARY STAMPEDERS +110

Football Picks

Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Edmonton Elks

Spread: SSK -5.5 / Total: 48.5 Points

The Roughriders have a win over Edmonton (2-6) already this season. Coming off a bye last week, Saskatchewan will be rested which means QB Cody Fajardo may get Kyran Moore and Shaq Evans back. That would be a boost to the offense.

Edmonton is clearly a disaster this season. They have yet to win a game at home and they are 2-8 in the last ten games against the Roughriders. Saskatechewan is only 2-4 ATS in its last six games, but the Edmonton defense is a dumpster fire. The Elks allow 36.25 points per game. Roughriders get the win and cover.

PICK: SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS -5.5
