College Football Week 14 Predictions and Odds

Coach Rick enjoyed a solid Week 13 and ended up six points shy of a perfect 3-0 record. Top-ranked Alabama enjoyed an easy 42-13 victory over rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl and let off the gas in the fourth quarter, otherwise the Total would have gone Over.

Now, it’s on to Week 14 already. There are only two matchups of ranked opponents and the game of the week is one you won’t find on television anywhere. Unbeaten and 20th-ranked Coastal Carolina (9-0) hosts former member of the Top 25 Liberty (9-1), which was a late field goal miss away from being 10-0.

Here’s how Coach Rick sees Week 14 playing out.

(#5) Texas A&M vs. (#22) Auburn Predictions

This one opened with Auburn as a 3.5-point home favorite, but the tables have turned and the fifth- ranked Aggies are now favored by 6.5. Part of the reason might be the Tigers miserable performance in last week’s Iron Bowl. Quarterback Bo Nix has been a disappointment in his second season as the Tigers starter.

Auburn hasn’t scored in the first quarter in each of its last three games. That does not bode well against an Aggies defense that forced three LSU turnovers last week and manhandled the Tigers. Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond should have the offense back to its prolific self. The Aggies missed a few weeks due to COVID and the offense was a little sluggish last week.

Auburn is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 home games and the Tigers could still get to quality bowl game. Texas A&M is 5-2 ATS in its last five road games, but is just 3-6 ATS in its last nine overall. Playing at home, Auburn could surprise.

BEST BET: AUBURN -6.5

(#12) Indiana vs. (#16) Wisconsin Predictions

There is a reason why No. 16 Wisconsin is a two-touchdown favorite (What is a betting favorite?) over No. 12 Indiana. Hoosiers starting QB Michael Penix Jr. was injured last week and it was later reported that he suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. To make matters even worse, starting RB Stevie Scott III also sustained an injury and is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game.

Wisconsin appeared headed toward a Big Ten championship game berth but was knocked off by Northwestern after the Badgers turned the ball over five times. You can bet head coach Paul Chryst addressed that with his team.

Indiana is 7-0 ATS in its last seven games, but 0-5 ATS in its last five against Wisconsin. Without Penix, this game is just another Big Ten matchup. Wisconsin wins big.

BEST BET: WISCONSIN -14.5

(#1) Alabama vs. LSU Predictions

Unlike a year ago, this Alabama-LSU matchup will be extremely one-sided. No longer do the Tigers have a Heisman Trophy quarterback or a defense full of first-round NFL draft picks. LSU is just 3-4 and gives up 30.3 points per game.

The Crimson Tide are clearly the better football team. They are running on all cylinders. The big question is can Alabama cover the huge 28.5-point spread? The Tigers can score. They do so at a 30.4 points-per- game clip, which leads us to the one wager that makes sense on this game.

The Total is set at a whopping 71. Get in while you can because this number is likely to fall. Alabama will win, but Coach Rick’s best bet here is a play on the Under (Learn what an over/under bet is all about).

BEST BET: UNDER 71
