Here we go! It's championship weekend, which is always a great time. We will know who the four teams are in the CFP and who will fill all the New Year's Six Bowls.
We start though with one of the teams that has a great chance to get into the Final Four with a win here and a team that is incredible worthy of doing just that, the Utah Utes.
Since their early season loss on the road at USC, this Utes team has played some of the best football in the country. They can beat you from all angles and can score with the best of them in all of the FBS.
Utes QB Tyler Huntley has been fantastic this season throwing for almost 3,000 yards and 16 TDs and rarely turns the ball over and RB Zach Moss has been equally impressive, scampering for almost 1,300 yards and 15 TDs.
Oregon is a solid team led by NFL prospect QB Justin Herbert, but in this battle they simply will not have enough against the superior Utes who have a great chance of getting in the CFP with a win here and will play like it.
A little over two weeks ago in one of the biggest home games in Baylor history, the Bears look like they had a monster win over then #10 Oklahoma. Leading by double digits most of the game only to see the Sooners storm back and win it by three in majestic fashion.
At one point Baylor led 28-3, then they found themselves trailing with under two minutes to play. Sooner QB Jalen Hurts was fantastic and Baylor just could not make plays in the biggest moments down the stretch.
Now these two teams get back at it with the highest possible stakes for Sooners and the ability to Baylor to tear down the proverbial wall for their rivals from Oklahoma.
This is going to feel like a heavyweight fight the whole way and while I see the Sooners hanging on to win this one and give themselves a chance to get into the CFP, the Bears will fight until the end and nine points is simply too saucy not to gobble up here.
VIRGINIA VS CLEMSON - ACC TITLE GAME
LINE: CLEMSON -29
DTM PICK: PICK VIRGINIA +29
Yes, Clemson is that good and Virginia is not as good as Clemson, but if you saw the Wahoo's end their 15-year losing streak to in state rival Va Tech in the Commonwealth Cup, you could see the UVA is a solid team.
This game will be played on a neutral field in Charlotte and that will be a major factor in Clemson not being able to use a true home crowd to break UVA's spirit.
29 points is just insane for a 9-win team that has a QB I love in Bryce Perkins. Perkins has thrown for 16 TDs and ran for 11 and comes off their biggest win of the season.
Virginia can actually play some defense too and will be trying to get at Clemson QB and former Heisman candidate Trevor Lawrence all day.
Clemson is very, very likely going to win this one, but they are not going to by more than four touchdowns.
Gobble up the 29 points and ride into Saturday night on the Money Train!
