I have won you a ton of cash sticks on Chris Creighton's EMU Eagles over the past three years and while they have slowed down over the past two weeks after they took down their third B1G team on the road in a row, this is a perfect spot to jump back on the Eagles Bandwagon.
After two subpar games by his standards Eagle QB Mike Glass III, who might just be the best QB in the state of Michigan right now, should have some success against a iffy Broncos secondary and the Eagle D should be able to slow down the WMU attack with their solid front 7.
WMU has been playing much better the past couple of weeks, but still is just not the kind of team that can roll a good defense. Look for EMU to be in this until the end and I would not be shocked if they win this outright, but you should feel super safe, like if Batman was old enough to stop Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, with the 9.5. IOWA STATE AT TEXAS TECH
LINE IOWA STATE -7
PICK ISU -7
I am a huuuuge Iowa State fan and an even bigger Matt Campbell fan, who has been patrolling the Cyclones sidelines for the past four years. I think he is headed for big things and it’s winning games like this on the road that have helped him win three Coach of the Year awards over the past five seasons.
It is amazing, but Texas Tech is actually playing some defense these days and it has helped them beat OK State and almost beat Baylor last week on the road if it wasn't for a terrible call at the end of the game.
The problem though is the Red Raiders are going to be woozy and frustrated after the last second loss last week, and that plays right into Iowa State's hand as they are so well coached and play great defense in their own right.
Look for solid ISU QB Brock Purdy to have a huge day and for the Cyclone defense to cause a couple huge turnovers that will end up being the difference in a 14 plus point win.
Ohhh Jim Harbaugh's Wolverines. You would be hard pressed to find a more disappointing team based on talent and expectations over the last five years than Michigan.
They are 0-7 in games as an underdog under Harbaugh and really don't have any true signature wins. Now they play the national game of the week in a truly hostile environment.
This is the type of game that Michigan simply has not been able to win under Khaki Jesus.
So why do I like them in a White Out situation in Happy Valley?
Because even with all this issues against them, Michigan still has a ton of talent and nine and a half points is just too much in this spot. I like Penn State a lot and QB Sen Clifford, but he won’t run away with games like Trace McSorely did and the Nittany Lions no longer have Miles Sanders.
Look for Michigan to be ready under the lights and for Michigan QB and fumble monster Shea Patterson to actually keep the ball in his hands on Saturday night. The Wolverines might not win this game, but they will be in it until the end and you'll feel safe about those 9.5 points all night.
