TIPOFF: 8:05PM, THURSDAY LINE: LOS ANGELES -5 DTM PICK: LOS ANGELES -5
The Nets are in a free fall right now losing four games in a row and simply need to have Kyrie Irving back and consistently healthy.
The Lakers on the other hand are continuing to become worthy of being the NBA Championship fave as they have won 35 games so far, including 8 of their last 10. Night in, night out, they are just incredibly tough to beat cause they have so many ways to beat you.
They also come into this game completely healthy and that is bad new for the Nets.
I love the recent play of Anthony Davis, who has been on a mini tear, and LeBron is doing what LeBron normally does, absolutely dominate.
The Nets are getting great play from guard Spencer Dinwiddie and really can be a fun team to watch. Even with them being at home in this one, the Lake Show will just be too much for the Nets. The Lakers will be up for the National TV audience on TNT and should be up double digits by the half and never look back.
It is always a ton of fun when the Moda Center in Rip City hosts a nationally televised game. With rising superstar Luka Doncic and the Mavs coming to town, this one should be a ton of fun!
Doncic has been simply absurd this season, averaging almost 30 points a game and shooting close to 50% from the field. He is a triple-double threat every single night, and the 20 year old is becoming impossible to stop.
Portland has had its moments this year, and has had some wins over really good teams, like the Raptors and Rockets in the month of January. However, they are only 10-10 at home, and to beat a team like Dallas they will have to play close to as perfect of a game as they can.
The Blazers did beat Dallas back in late October at the start of the season in Big D, but that was a much different Mavs team then that had not gotten its footing yet. They come into this one winners of four of their last five and really filled with confidence.
This is just going to be a combo of just too much Luka, some solid Mavs D, and not enough firepower from Portland.
