Team Canada should medal in women’s softball. The women’s soccer team has medaled in each of the past two Olympic Games and the Rugby 7s squad has medal potential. Ellie Black could become just the second Canadian gymnast to medal in traditional gymnastics.
Most models forecast Team Canada winning 22 total medals. With the addition of the new events and the strong contingent of Canadian female swimmers, there is every reason to believe Team Canada can surpass 19.5 total medals.
