March Madness: Who to Bet Sunday in the Sweet 16

With four teams moving on to the Elite Eight on Saturday, we get the other half of the field on Sunday. If Saturday was known for the dogs, Sunday is known for the favorites.

The March Madness schedule looks primed and ready for a slate full of favorites to bet. Let’s take a look at who to bet on Sunday in the NCAA Sweet 16.

Creighton Blue Jays vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs Prediction

Creighton at Gonzaga Betting Report

Best Bet: Gonzaga -13

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the best team in college basketball and have won 28 straight games. They will need to get to 32 to cut down the nets.

Mark Few’s crew was tested by Oklahoma but scored 87 points in the 16-point second-round win. Expect another game where the underdogs keep it close, but the Bulldogs have too many weapons.

There is a reason the Bulldogs are the top field goal percentage team in the country and average nearly 19 assists per game. Corey Kispert, Drew Timme and Jalen Suggs get the job done and win this game on Sunday by double-digits over the Bluejays.

Florida State Seminoles vs. Michigan Wolverines Prediction

Florida State at Michigan Betting Report

Best Bet: Michigan -2

The Michigan Wolverines are the final hope for the Big Ten. The Wolverines won the regular-season title in the conference before falling to Ohio State in the conference tournament.

In the Big Dance, the Wolverines are scoring 84 points per game. That’s too many for the Seminoles to keep up with.

Leonard Hamilton continues to be one of the most impressive head coaches in college basketball, but this is a really tough task. Michigan opens it up with its ability to hit outside shots, and it wins this game.

Just a basket spread is not enough. The Wolverines win by a couple of possessions on Sunday.

UCLA Bruins vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

UCLA Bruins at. Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Report

Best Bet: Alabama -6

It’s a battle between the SEC and the Pac-12. The Pac-12 fared well with Oregon State heading to the Elite Eight. The conference will get a second team in the Elite Eight with either USC or Oregon.

Can it grab a third? The Bruins are a little bit of an underdog and the Cinderella of the day. UCLA’s magic is about to run out though.

The Crimson Tide are going to want to get the basketball up and down the floor early and often. Alabama has won eight straight games dating back to Feb. 24.

Look for the Crimson Tide to use the ability of Jaden Shackelford and John Petty to not only beat the Bruins but win this game by 10-plus points.

Oregon Ducks vs. USC Trojans Prediction

Oregon at USC Betting Report

Best Bet: USC -2

The final game of the day features the Trojans and Ducks, two teams that are familiar with each other. USC beat Oregon at home back on Feb. 22 by 14.

That was their only meeting of the season. In that game, Tahj Eaddy took over the game and scored 24 points, as the Trojans led by 19 at the half.

This is a different game with two different teams. The Ducks have played better with seven wins in their last eight games. The Ducks got a gift in Round 1, as VCU was unable to compete.

Look for the Trojans to keep their red hot shooting alive, and head to the Elite Eight. USC made 11-of-18 from behind the line in its blowout win over Kansas.

We are really excited for this four-pack of basketball games. The best of the best remain.

These teams deserve these games, and we expect a battle from start to finish in each one of them. Best of luck with your Sweet 16 betting!
