It is a dual weekend for NASCAR! The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Michigan this weekend for the FireKeepers Casino 400 on Saturday and the Consumers Energy 400 on Sunday. The doubled race weekend is being done to catch up on races that were missed due to the COVID-19 hiatus.
For this article, as odds are only available for the Saturday race, the focus will be on the FireKeepers Casino 400. Oddsmakers seem to be favoring a Ford driver to take the Checkered flag as three of the top-five favored drivers to win outright pilot Blue Ovals.
Kevin Harvick comes in at +350 for the weekend with fellow Ford Drivers falling in line close behind him. Penske teammates Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski are at both riding in at +700.
Last week Keselowski held off Denny Hamlin (+450) for the win at New Hampshire. It was Keselowski’s third win of the 2020 season. Hamlin was my bright spot for the race followed by Logano and Harvick finishing in fourth and fifth giving me four drivers in the top-ten. Check out the article for more insight.
Here are the top-five favored drivers to win the FireKeepers Casino 400 outright according to intertops.
Kevin Harvick +350
Denny Hamlin +450
Joey Logano +700
Brad Keselowski +700
Martin Truex Jr +800

Kevin Harvick +350
Kevin Harvick has been bank for me all season long with only a few hiccups during the season. It’s hard to argue betting against a driver that has won at Michigan three times in their Cup Series career with two of those checkered flags coming in the last three races at the track.
Brad Keselowski +700
Keselowski’s win last week was not a fluke! He held off Hamlin for several laps towards the end of the race with a dominating ride. It looks like the No. 2 team has found the power that they had earlier in the season when Keselowski racked up two wins in May. He’s a favorite at Michigan every year and 2020 is no different.
Chase Elliott +900
Chase Elliott has been the strongest Chevrolet drivers this season and has been close to getting his second win of 2020 several times this year. That win could come at Michigan where he’s finished in the top ten seven times out of eight starts at the track.

Others I like
Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr: I would rate both drivers higher, but consistency has been an issue for each of their teams in 2020. Logano has three Michigan wins – Truex has yet to win at the track. Both drivers have scored wins this season.
