NBA Player Props Picks for Friday, December 30th, 2022

The NBA is looking to squeeze out a few more games on the schedule before the calendar officially flips over to 2023. That provides everyone in the league with a few more looks before they come up with their New Year’s Resolutions for what they can improve in 2023. With that in mind, here are five NBA player props for Friday night’s games.

NBA Bookies

DeAndre Ayton Over 20.5 Points

Suns vs. Raptors Picks

When it comes to Phoenix’s offense, Ayton has been one of the main options throughout the season. Over Ayton’s past six appearances, he has been heavily utilized. Ayton, who grabbed double-digit rebounds in four of those games, creates plenty of second-chance opportunities for himself.

Ayton, who averages 18.1 points per game, has scored 21 or more points in four of those six games during the stretch. Ayton has taken a lot of shots during this stretch, recording double-figure attempts in all six games.

NBA Betting Lines

Trae Young Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made

Lakers vs. Hawks Picks

Young has seen his 3-point percentage shrink this season. He is only making 31.6 percent of his attempts, which is the lowest since his rookie year in the league. Young has made two or more 3-pointers in his last four games.

He also has attempted at least five or more in his past six appearances. With Los Angeles in town, Young will have plenty of opportunities to shoot from the perimeter.

Robert Gobert Under 11.5 Rebounds

Timberwolves vs. Bucks Picks

Gobert is an outstanding rebounder and defensive player, but the Bucks may be a tough match-up for him. Milwaukee likes to attack the rim and kick to shooters. The Bucks may have the tools to get Gobert in foul trouble to try to keep him off the court and away from the glass.

NBA Predictions

Joel Embiid Over 9.5 Rebounds

76ers vs. Pelicans Picks

The 76ers star center has been having another strong season. As of late, Embiid has been playing 34 or more minutes per start. Embiid has reached that number of minutes in his past six appearances for the 76ers.

While Embiid is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game on the season, he has grabbed 10 or more in six of his past nine appearances for Philadelphia.

Tyler Hero Under 19.5 Points

Heat vs. Nuggets Picks

Herro hasn’t been consistent for much of this season for the Heat. Miami’s star guard has had some nagging injuries and has suffered through tough cold stretches. Playing on the road is always difficult for Miami, which hasn’t played well away from home.

Herro won’t find life at altitude easy and he will fall short of scoring 20 points for the fourth time in the past five games.
