The NBA action continues this Friday, March 17th, with eight games guiding us into the weekend. You will be pleased to learn that I have trawled the bookies’ odds to find the best NBA player props for today’s games. So, why not take advantage of my picks?
James Harden – Over 10.5 Assists (-140)
Thanks to another standout performance, James Harden has cemented his place at the summit of the assists per game leaderboard. The Philadelphia 76ers guard notched 12 assists against the Cleveland Cavaliers last time out, meaning he now averages 10.8 assists per game this season.
On Friday night, the high-flying 76ers face the Charlotte Hornets, who find themselves second from bottom in the Eastern Conference. Since Harden has chalked up 10+ assists in six of his previous eight appearances, I expect to enhance his tally against struggling Charlotte.
Trae Young – Over 28.5 Points (-105)
Trae Young dished up an eye-catching display against the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this week, bagging 41 points, seven assists and six rebounds. That performance came after he notched 35 points and 13 assists against the Boston Celtics.
Young has now scored 28+ points in each of his last four games, exceeding 30 points in five of his previous 10 outings. The Atlanta Hawks face a tricky test against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, but I’m confident that Young will continue his scoring streak at State Farm Arena.
Evan Mobley – Over 10.5 Rebounds (-120)
The Cleveland Cavaliers have climbed to fourth in the Eastern Conference following a run of six wins in nine games. When you look at the bigger picture, the Cavaliers have won 13 of their previous 19 encounters, with Evan Mobley starring throughout the run.
After scoring 26 points against the Charlotte Hornets earlier this week, Mobley racked up 12 rebounds against the Philadelphia 76ers last time out. With the inconsistent Washington Wizards up next for Cleveland, I can see Mobley grabbing over 10.5 rebounds on Friday.
Tyus Jones – Over 7.5 Assists (-125)
Not only have the Memphis Grizzlies won six of their last 10 games, but they have also won nine of their previous 15. As a result, the Grizzlies occupy third place in the Western Conference, while the San Antonio Spurs find themselves second from bottom in the standings.
Earlier this month, Memphis’ Tyus Jones recorded 10+ assists on three occasions during a four-game hot streak. The 26-year-old guard has played a key role in the Grizzlies recent rise, so he shouldn’t struggle to register over 7.5 assists against lowly San Antonio.
Brandon Ingram – Over 25.5 Points (-105)
Following two games out with an ankle injury, Brandon Ingram returned to action with an impressive display against the Los Angeles Lakers in midweek, racking up 22 points, six rebounds and six assists to remind everyone of his abilities around the net.
The New Orleans Pelicans forward also recorded 36 points against the Toronto Raptors at the end of February before scoring 40 points against the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this month. On Friday, the Pelicans face the menial Houston Rockets, so I’m backing Ingram to bag over 25.5 points.
