NBA Predictions: Best Bets for MLK Day

You’ve heard the old saying ‘there is more than one way to skin a cat’. This saying applies now, more than ever before when it comes to betting on the NBA. The NBA is a great sport to bet and no matter what your betting preferences may be, the fact of the matter is this; it’s not always easy! We will not lie to you and tell you winning on the NBA is a piece of cake. You must find the best betting options so that every base is covered.

Best Online Bookies for NBA Betting

Your money means a lot to you; you work hard for it and you don’t want to lose it. The first thing you should do as a bettor is to set a budget for yourself and set one on every sport you gamble. The next and equally important item of business is to find several great online bookmakers. Make sure they offer live betting lines. You must have several online bookies in your back pocket and have them funded. Make sure that your accounts are payout eligible. There is a difference between cash accounts and bonus accounts.

You want several online bookies that you dedicate to “cash only” accounts, you want to have them funded and ready for a payout. You also want to have bonus accounts – keep them separate. An NBA bonus is a great thing to have and a great way to make a lot of money but keep them separate. Yes, you can still bet live lines on a bonus account, but you may not be payout read if you win that day. You may have an existing rollover to pay. For this reason, you must have several “cash only” accounts.

Having multiple online bookmaking accounts gives you a much needed backup plan should you get into trouble with a game or several games. Double-check that every account you sign up for offers NBA live lines. This will give you a leg up and allow you to get your money back and even win more money over the top.

Today's NBA Best Bets

Spurs vs. Blazers Picks

San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trail Blazers Preview

Tip-off: 3:00 ET, TV: Local

Line: SA -1.5, O/U 225

Picks: Over 225 + POR 1st Half

Both teams come into the afternoon with a ton of injuries. Both are missing key players that put up numbers. Defense will be the last thing on anybody’s mind from start to finish in this thing and we think 225 is a gift. The Spurs allow 110.2 points per game and Portland allows 115.2 points per game. Both teams have close to identical numbers on the offense. When teams are missing key players the play tends to be sloppy and this early in the season, we must like this one over. The Spurs are favored in this one and that’s sketchy, but on the other hand, what has Portland done to wow anybody? Not much. We like them to come out strong and push this first half at home. At the end of the day, we say the Spurs have as just as good a chance to walk away with a win as does Portland.

Find the live lines in this one and you be the judge. Stay on top of the total and should you get into trouble, have that other bookie on the hook and jump over and get your money back. For our money, this one goes to Portland 1 st half and over 225.

We believe in Brooklyn in this one and a high scoring affair.
