This may sound crazy, but the numbers say to roll with this bet. The Lions are still looking for their first win of the year. I do not believe they will find it on Sunday against the Vikings. However, with the teaser, I think they should cover the spread.
Detroit has been flawless against the spread this year, and they will be at home. This has to mean something, right? The Lions are 7-4 ATS, and they have been within this margin in four of their past five.
Buccaneers vs. Falcons Preview
Best Bet: Falcons +10.5 to +16.5
When we bet on the NFL, we bet numbers, not teams. The Buccaneers are one of the best teams in the NFL. However, they have not performed ATS in 2021. The Falcons are at home in this game and have a two-score buffer.
Both teams are 5-6 ATS in 2021, and teasing the Buccaneers does not make sense. -4.5 would still be a bad number to lay.
Best Bet: Eagles -7 to -1
The tease in this game makes it a pick ’em matchup. Philadelphia needs a win on Sunday, and they should get it against the Jets. New York is one of the worst teams in the NFL. I would possibly fade Philadelphia on the road at -7, but -1 makes this an easy pick.
The Eagles are coming off a rough loss last week, so they need to bounce back. This is the perfect week to make it happen.

Best Bet: Bengals -3 to +7
The Bengals are surging at the right time. They have won their past two games and are running the ball efficiently. Los Angeles is a team that loves going backward. They don’t do the correct things to win games they should win.
I would be hammering the Bengals at -3, so giving them a TD buffer at home is a steal.
Best Bet: Jaguars +13 to +23
It does not matter how good a team is in the NFL. It’s very hard to cover a 23 point spread. The Rams have struggled against good teams recently. They tend to beat up bad teams, but the size of this spread gives me confidence in the Jaguars.
The game starts with the Jaguars up 23-0 with the tease.
Best Bet: Chiefs -9.5 to -0.5
Kansas City is getting hot at the right time. I like them to win on Sunday, and with the tease, that’s all they have to accomplish. Denver is pesky, but they are not on the Chiefs’ level.
At +9.5, I like Denver, but the tease makes this an easy choice to take Kansas City.
