NFL Week 7 Three-Team Football Teaser Bet

Week 7 seems like the perfect time for a three-team teaser, so I’ve put one together that I’m quite happy with. The dust has started to settle in this NFL season and the elite are rising to the top, while the bad sink to the bottom. We’re looking at you, Jets; you guys really are something else.

However, we’re not just looking at who beats who, but how teams are winning. Strengths and weaknesses are key to placing bets.

You’ll quickly find yourself in the red by betting based on who beat who at the beginning of the season. Now we know why teams are having success.

The Texans have a fantastic quarterback but can’t stop the run for their lives. Anybody could have seen Derrick Henry crushing Houston’s defense coming. It also helps that it is Henry, who is not the easiest back to bring down.

Our six-point teaser hits three spreads paying out +160. Making some favored team slight underdogs, making underdogs deserving of better odds bigger underdogs, and so on. Just keep reading, you’ll see.

Saints -7.5 (Even) to -1.5 against the Panthers

Michael Thomas is back. That’s the key to this pick. The Saints are a pretty decent team right now. They have pieces on both sides of the ball, but have severely missed Thomas. Drew Brees has started to develop a connection, but he’s averaging seven yards per throw.

They’re missing the big-play potential in their passing game that Thomas brings, which will unlock Alvin Kamara to become significantly more effective.

The Panthers are a fine team. That’s it. They’re not very impressive. Mike Davis is doing a solid job, but Teddy Bridgewater and Robby Anderson are just alright.

They don’t seem very threatening on either side of the ball, and the Saints will be prepared for Bridgewater and put him under pressure often. This teaser effectively puts the Saints at winning by a field goal, which seems highly likely.

Falcons -2.0 (-110) to +4.0 against the Lions

This one is a bit riskier, but I think the Falcons turned their season around last week and are going to improve tremendously. I don’t think Atlanta’s 0-5 start reflects its strength as a team.

The Falcons got themselves impressive leads in almost all of their games just to choke them away. Blowing leads is a great problem to have, in my opinion, as it’s very fixable. Atlanta was also without Julio Jones, and that’s a pretty solid excuse.

It all comes down to a lack of consistency and maybe a bit of complacency. Improving focus fixes these problems. Matt Ryan, Jones, and Todd Gurley II are elite athletes and I’m confident they won’t be a part of an under-.500 team this year.

I don’t have much to say about the Lions besides I’m unimpressed. D’Andre Swift and veteran Adrian Peterson are a good duo in the backfield, but Matthew Stafford really hasn’t been great. He did look good against the Jaguars, but who doesn’t?

Steelers -2.0 (-110) to +4.0 against the Titans

This is a fun one for me. Two undefeated teams — heavyweights of the league — matched up on Sunday. This should be interesting to watch.

Both teams have staunch defenses that defend the run very well. Both teams rely on their running games for touchdowns and to open up fairly decent passing games.

The Titans lose left tackle Taylor Lewan, which will be a severe loss against a Steelers front four that is dangerous to say the least. This game will be tight, and I think it tilts slightly in favor of the Steelers. That’s why giving them a +4.0 spread seems like a smart move and one that will pay off.

What Is a Teaser? A teaser is a type of sports bet you can make that allows you to change the point spread or total in your favor on multiple games. Example of a teaser bet.

3-team six-point teaser pays $160 on a $100 risk.
