Dave’s Top 10 Best Bets for NFL Week 7

Most of my top picks for Week 6 fell into place with an overall record of 7-3. This raised my winning rate on the year to 58.3 percent for my Top 10 weekly NFL picks for Scores & Stats. My overall record stands at 35-23-2.

Moving on to this Sunday’s Week 7 games, I have come up with 10 more top plays that look good to me.

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints Picks: OVER 51

This is a big test for Carolina to stay in the NFC South title race. The think the Panthers will cover with 7½ points but I am betting the OVER. The total has gone OVER in the last five meetings in New Orleans.

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals Picks: Cincinnati +3

The Browns should win this game and cover but that does not mean they will. This is a bitter AFC North rivalry that has favored Cincinnati in the past. The Bengals are 10-2 against the spread in their last 12 games against Cleveland.

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team Picks: OVER 47½

This is a must win for Dallas coming off an embarrassing loss on Monday night. I have both teams scoring more points than usual against very suspect defenses. The total has gone OVER in eight of the last nine meetings between these NFC East rivals.

Detroit Lions at Atlanta Falcons Picks: Atlanta -2½

Detroit has shown some signs of life with a pair of straight-up wins in its last three contests. The Falcons are coming off their first SU win of the year. This could be a three-point game either way but I like Atlanta’s edge only giving up 2½ points at home.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans Picks: Tennessee +2

One of these AFC teams will see its SU five-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday. The betting public could be steering the spread toward Pittsburgh so I am taking the two points on the home team.

Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans Picks: Green Bay -3½

This inter-conference matchup sets up perfectly for a big Packers’ win on the road after the ugly 38-10 road loss to Tampa Bay last Sunday. Houston is struggling at 1-5 (SU and ATS). Green Bay is still 4-1 both SU and ATS.

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals Picks: Seahawks -3½

The Seattle have a great opportunity to gain some breathing room in the NFC West. I also like the fact the Seahawks have covered the spread in four of their first five SU wins. Arizona is playing on a short week as another plus.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos Picks: UNDER 48½

There is always a risk in betting the UNDER in a Chiefs’ game but they are playing on the road in a AFC West rivalry. Denver has only scored 100 points combined in its 2-3 SU start. Yet, its defense has only allowed a combined 110 points.

San Francisco 49ers at New England Patriots Picks: New England -2½

San Francisco has to make its third trip this season to the East Coast. That could take the edge off of last Sunday’s big upset over the rival Los Angeles Rams. I am giving New England one last chance to prove that all this team’s past success is not just tied to Tom Brady.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Las Vegas Raiders: Las Vegas +3

The Bucs made a statement with last Sunday’s home romp over Green Bay. However, I am banking on Jon Gruden having his current team ready to face his old team. I also like the lucky vibe with this game being played in Las Vegas.
