Well, Jones didn’t have much time during training camp to get together on some timing with his quarterback, Ryan Tannehill. But they must have made it a point to put some extra time in during the week of preparation for the game in Seattle, as Jones, after a very dull opening game, cut through the Seahawks’ defense for 128 yards on six catches. He is now firmly established as the #1 option through the air, and dangerous against an Indy squad that is bound to be gearing up to stop the run (something they were very good at last year).

We know that the Falcons found things choppy the first week when they could do virtually nothing against Philly. But at least they moved the football a little last week against the Tampa Bay Bucs.
You’re not going to keep Matt Ryan down forever. And if versatile tight end Kyle Pitts is as good as advertised (and he was advertised as the best tight end to go into the draft in more than a decade), he will break out and do something sooner or later. The Giants have allowed 62 pass completions in the first two weeks.

Through the first two games of the season, Sutton is Denver’s biggest producer through the air, with 173 yards in receptions. But he’s got no touchdowns yet.
Teddy Bridgewater is going to correct that. He is referred to as a “game manager,” but he’s got over 700 yards and leads the NFL in Intended Air Yards, which means he is getting the ball down the field. If he’s doing that and connecting with Sutton, they’ll hit paydirt. It’s quite possible they’ll find themselves in pretty good field position much of the way as the Jets’ offense sputters.

And quick throws to him might be a very good counter strike to this Rams defense, which is going to try and be in Brady’s face right up the middle with people like Aaron Donald.
