Top Five NFL Player Props Picks for Monday Night Football Week 3

We don’t really like to get all that fancy when it comes to props. And after just two games, you want to be careful about how much stuff you absorb as “evidence.”

NFL Bookies Reviews

Maybe you want to ask yourself how a game will play out, and then consider who will play the key roles in that scenario.

The Dallas Cowboys are playing their home opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, who may not be all the way there yet but are going to be a tough “out,” simply by virtue of having more healthy bodies available than they did a year ago.

Ezekiel Elliott Props Pick for MNF Week 3

Pick: EZEKIEL ELLIOTT UNDER 63.5 RUSHING YARDS

MNF Props Odds: Over 63.5 Yards (-114) / Under 63.5 Yards (-114)

It might be unfair to say that there’s been a pattern of diminished performance regarding Elliott. Sure, he dipped below 1000 yards last season and averaged only four yards per carry, but there were a lot of things that befell him, including the virus and injuries, not to mention not having his starting quarterback around.

But you can’t run and hide from the numbers. And Elliott has just 3.9 yards per rush in the two games. He certainly has a reduced role in the offense, and we are not altogether confident he’s going to hit this number, especially considering that Philly’s D-line has been relatively sturdy against the run.

NFL MNF Odds

Tony Pollard Props Picks for MNF Week 3

Pick: TONY POLLARD OVER 21.5 RECEIVING YARDS

MNF Props Odds; Over 21.5 Yards (-120) / Under 21.5 Yards (-108)

Okay, this is the natural follow-up to the Elliott thing. Pollard is averaging 7.7 yards a carry in the early going and is currently the team’s leading rusher. And although we’re not going to go to the bank on that, it’s a by-product of his own increased role in the offense as Elliott looks less and less like he’s capable of delivering the spectacular.

We’re not focusing on Pollard’s rushing yards, however. We are looking at what he’s going to do with receptions.

When he was at Memphis, Pollard not only played in the backfield but at wide receiver. He has that kind of speed. The Cowboys certainly trust him to catch passes out of the backfield. And he has the ability to split out wide; an important consideration for a team that is missing Michael Gallup, who led the ‘Boys in yards per catch last year (14.3).

Dallas Goedert Props Picks for MNF Week 3

Pick: DALLAS GOEDERT OVER 36.5 RECEIVING YARDS

MNF Props Odds: Over 36.5 Receiving Yards (-120) vs. Under 36.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Okay, it’s Dallas vs. Dallas.

You know, there was a time when the Eagles threw to the tight ends more often than anybody. With Jalen Hurts behind center, maybe that’s not necessarily being reflected. Between Goedert and Zach Ertz, they’ve got nine catches for 106 yards.

But it really shouldn’t be that way. A guy like Goedert provides a nice natural short-range target for Hurts. Head coach Nick Sirianni was the offensive coordinator at Indianapolis, and he made very judicious use of his tight ends (including Jack Doyle) there. And for what it’s worth, Goedert has averaged a little more than this (42.8 yards / game)in six starts against the Cowboys’ defense, with over twelve yards per catch and an 84% connection rate.

NFL MNF Picks

Quez Watkins Props Picks for MNF Week 3

Pick: QUEZ WATKINS OVER 27.5 RECEIVING YARDS

MNF Props Odds: Over 27.5 Yards -118 / Under 27.5 Yards -110

I mean, you talk about a guy who, in the words of the immortal Keith Jackson, “can flat fly,” Watkins, a second-year man out of Southern Miss, got lose on a 91-yard catch last week (not for TD), and was running 21.62 MPH, which is the fastest speed in the first two weeks for anyone with the ball in his hands. With apologies to Devonta Smith, Watkins, who also scored on a 79-yard TD in the preseason,is the Eagles’ best downfield threat at the moment.

Jalen Hurts Props Picks for MNF Week 3

Pick: JALEN HURTS OVER 56.5 RUSHING YARDS

MNF Props Odds: Over 56.5 Yards -114 / Under 56.5 Yards -114

This won’t necessarily be an easy task, because Dallas has good linebackers, but Hurts has not been shy about taking matters into his own hands. He has accounted for 44% of the Eagles’ rushing yards thus far, and I’ve got to believe that part of Philadelphia’s game plan involves him keeping the Cowboys’ pass rush off balance as much as possible.
