Another week flies by in the world of sports gambling as bettors everywhere continue to fire on a world full of sports. One of the biggest betting events of the year has been set as the Patriots and Rams will meet in Super Bowl LIII (Saints fans are still justly peeved over that atrocious missed call). The Golden State Warriors have assumed their familiar perch atop the Western Conference standings as the NBA season continues to grind along. And legalized sports betting in the US continues to dominate the landscape as more and more states push for legalized sports betting. No missed calls here as we jump right in to take a quick look around the industry in this week's Gambler's Report.
Draftkings Championship of Handicapping Lawsuit
Draftkings held their inaugural Sports Betting National Championship recently in New Jersey and among other things a class-action lawsuit complaint has sprung from the weekend event. More than 200 contestants entered the $10,000 buy-in tournament. The contest was a first of its kind and the prize pool was $2.5 million. With that size prize pool and it is a new contest, no surprise there were some major hiccups.
The suit, filed by plaintiff Christopher Leong, alleges the provider operated with negligence and in an arbitrary manner. As the contest came close to its conclusion, only some bettors were allowed to wager on the final contest as they waited for their NFL wagers to clear from the previous championship game. Leong was the current leader at the time and was among those unable to place a wager on the final contest.

Super Bowl Odds
Maybe the most bet on a game of the year is set to kick off on February 3rd. The Patriots and their veteran lineup led by maybe the GOAT, Tom Brady, are set to take on the new kids on the block in the Los Angeles Rams.
The Patriots are currently a -2.5 point favorite and a moneyline at -130 showing at Intertops. The total for the game currently sits at 57.5. And while still over a week away, the props have started flowing across the board. Coin Tosses, Gatorade colors and who knows what other interesting wagers will be available as the Super Bowl is known for a large number of prop wagers, almost as much as betting on the game itself.
A quick look around a few industry payout reports shows everything going according to quoted time frames. This is a very busy time for books where deposits typically far outweigh payouts so everything should be running at maximum efficiency. Bitcoin remains the most efficient way to move funds with most payouts being reported in hours instead of days or weeks.
I am continuing to see a previously mentioned problem with MyBookie.ag as a punter appears to be getting the run around when requesting a payout. Far out rules most have never heard of and, then limiting to an amount that leaves the rollover unattainable. All goes to show that you should make sure and fully read the rules before depositing your hard-earned money into any of these shops.
