The Gambler's Report: Legalized Sports Betting Dominates The Scene

Another week in the books hopefully full of winner's for gamblers both near and far. College hoops are less than a month away from the start of conference championship weeks.  And everyone's favorite tournament of madness is soon to follow. The NBA is right around the 25 games remaining mark and it is shaping up for some good playoff races. A new football league has kicked off as the Alliance of American Football will attempt to fill the void between seasons. Pitchers and catcher are trickling into MLB spring camps while Bryce Harper and Manny Machado remain unsigned. And the talk of legalized sports betting continues to dominate the scene as new reports seem to surface almost daily discussing which state will be next to legalize or what legislation is being drafted. Enough chatter about potential, let's dive right in and take a quick look around the industry in this week's Gambler's Report.

MUST SEE: History Of An Original

Super Bowl LIV Early Favorite

Super Bowl LIII is history as the Patriots once again hoisted the Lombardi trophy. But gamblers are never ones to sit and gloat on victories so its time to quickly look at odds for next years big game. Intertops has Super Bowl champion New England Patriots listed as co-favorites with the Kansas Chiefs at +700. They are followed by Super Bowl runner-up Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints at +800. Longest odds on the board belong to the Miami Dolphins at +20,000.  Wonder if Dan Marino is still available to play quarterback.

Another Jersey Record

The month leading up to the Super Bowl saw New Jersey books take over $385 million dollars in bets. The highest monthly total to date for the state in their young booking history. Nearly $305 million of that record total was wagered by gamblers online or on mobile devices. The Golden Nugget continues to dominate the internet scene among Jersey casinos taking in an estimated $12 million profit in January via internet and mobile.  And while the Super Bowl stung a little for the Garden State these are promising numbers for Jersey moving forward.  Combined book revenues for the state for January are listed at just over $18 million.

Intertops is the World's first online sportsbook. It's been around since the early 1980s and prides itself on being the first sportsbook to take wagers online. They have odds for nearly every sport imaginable including NFL, College Football, NBA, College Basketball, MLB, NHL, Golf, MMA and more! Check out Intertops review and find out more...

Offshore Report

A quick look around a few industry payout reports shows most shops getting payouts out within stated time frames. As usual, Bitcoin remains the fastest and most efficient way to both deposit and withdraw funds with many being quoted within hours instead of days or weeks via other methods.

While most payout reports look pretty decent I am seeing a few issues worth noting.

BetOnline may be having some site issues again as seeing a few reports of slow sight response and downtime. Also, seeing a few complaints on customer service and wait times for chat being upwards of 30 minutes.

NBA Betting: Schedule Your Way To Winning NBA Bets

A player with BETDSI apparently took a no deposit $25 bonus and was able to run this amount to over $1,000.  Unfortunately for the player, he was unaware of the rule where only $250 was the max payout from the free money.  Goes back to previous reports stating to always be fully aware of what you are dealing with when playing with books and bonuses.  You do not want to be surprised when it comes to dealing with your money.
