First place in the Colonial with be on the line when Rhode Island hosts Delaware on Sunday. The Blue Hens and Rams are both 2-0 on the season, and this should be a great battle.
Delaware has been dominant so far this spring, and the Blue Hens are doing it all well. This team has outscored opponents by a total of 68-3 in the first two games.
Quarterback Nolan Henderson has been sharp for Delaware, even though he doesn’t throw it a ton. The Blue Hens defense has been dominant, and that unit will play a key role on Saturday.
Rhode Island has needed overtime to win their first two games, but they have been clutch late in games. The Rams won a high-scoring affair against Villanova, and then won it with defense against Albany.
It’s hard to know what to make of the Rams at this point, but playing on their home field should help. Delaware is a much more complete team, and the Blue Hens should stay undefeated with a win.

Another top matchup of the weekend will take place in the Southland Conference, with first place up for grabs. Nicholls will host Incarnate Word, and the hosts are looking for an upset.
Incarnate Word is a perfect 3-0 this season, and they have been dominant through the first three games. The Cardinals have scored at least 42 points in all three of their wins.
Nicholls brings a 2-1 record into this matchup, and this team has been wildly inconsistent. The Colonels scored 82 points in the Spring opener, and allowed 71 in their most recent game.
If you are a fan of offense, then this is the game for you. In the end, it will Incarnate Word that gets defensive stops to take control and stay unbeaten.

If you are a fan of rivalries, then focus your attention on this matchup in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. South Dakota hosts North Dakota, and the visitors will be heavy favorites.
The Bison have won three straight after suffering an upset lost to the Southern Illinois Salukis. That game must have woken this team up, as they have been dominant since that loss.
South Dakota is just 1-3, but you can throw records out when teams from these two states meet up. The Coyotes will need to be great on defense to keep this game close.
Despite a spirited effort from the Coyotes, North Dakota State is simply too good to lose this game. The Bison win their fourth straight and move to 6-1.
