Three Ways to Bet Monday Night Football Week 11

Monday Night Football this week will feature a massive game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Los Angeles is 6-3 and tied for first place in the NFC West standings. Tampa Bay is 7-3 and in second place in the NFC South.

Both teams need a win to stay in their respective division race as we move down the regular-season stretch.

Prime-time football always presents bettors with a ton of opportunities to win big. Here are my three best ways to bet Monday night’s matchup.

Moneyline Bet: Tampa Bay (-210)

Tampa Bay will host Los Angeles on Monday night. I love Tampa Bay at -210. It’s never easy to travel across the country and compete at a high level.

The Rams have played on the East Coast a lot this year, but they haven’t performed great. They beat Philadelphia and Washington, but those teams are both under .500 on the year.

They lost to Buffalo and Miami, who have a combined record of 13-6. Overall, Los Angeles is 2-3 as the away team.

Tampa Bay is 3-1 at Raymond James Stadium. I also believe they’re the most complete team that the Rams have played all year.

Tampa Bay will need to neutralize the Los Angeles front seven. If the Buccaneers are successful in the trenches, I believe they’ll come out on top Monday night. With Tampa Bay’s rushing attack getting better each week, the NFC should be very afraid of the Buccaneers.

Team Total Bet: Tampa Bay – Over 27 Points (-110)

The Buccaneers offense is firing on all cylinders right now. They’re 4-1 in their last five. Two weeks ago, they were steamrolled, but this is an anomaly in the 2020 season.

The unit is averaging just under 30 points per game. This is good for sixth overall in the NFL. In their past five games, the Buccaneers are averaging 31.4 points per game.

Rob Gronkowski is coming alive. He has caught four touchdowns in his past five outings. He’s starting to resemble the New England version of himself.

Ronald Jones II is also establishing himself as a feature back. He’s the third-ranked back in the league in rushing yards and is averaging over five yards per carry. Tom Brady has been better than anyone could’ve imagined.

The Los Angeles Rams have a top five defense, but I think the matchups favor Tampa Bay. Twenty-seven is a low enough total to give me confidence that the Buccaneers will cover.

Total Field Goals Scored in Game: Over 3½

Tampa Bay has one of the best kickers in the game in Ryan Succop. He’s the leading kicker in terms of points in the NFL.

He has only missed twice on the season, and each of those came from greater than 40 yards. He has had three games where he would’ve covered 3½ on his own.

Los Angeles is in a slight predicament with its kicking situation. Last Sunday, Rams kicker Kai Forbath injured his ankle. He was placed on injured reserve this week.

The team signed Matt Gay, who spent last season with Tampa Bay. He played in all 16 games and made 27 of 35 field goals. He wasn’t on an active roster when he was signed.

Despite this, he is comfortable kicking in the NFL. More importantly, he’s comfortable kicking in Raymond James Stadium.

The weather looks solid on Monday night in Tampa Bay. This will create some prime kicking situations for Succop and Gay. This is why I love over 3½ for total field goals.

Best of luck on Monday night!
