Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane Pick
Once upon a time, Ngannou and Gane were training partners. But when Ngannou left Paris to train in the states, it has not quite been the same for these two.
Both fighters have incredible knockout power and are the top heavyweights for a reason. Gane is looking to extend his perfect 10-0 record and become a champion.
Ngannou has a tendency to overpower his opponents within the first five minutes of every five. You can expect heavy shots and his aggressive approach to the inside.
Gane should utilize his ground game and keep the standup to a minimum early on. If he can use his legs to attack, that would be ideal.
Ngannou is very technical when it comes to striking, so he is not going to throw it all out there. However, Gane is also great and could provide an issue.
Best Bet: Ngannou wins via decision at +135
Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo Pick
This fight could steal the spotlight, especially since it is a trilogy fight with an exciting story. You could argue a coin flip here for how close this matchup really is.
The first battle was a draw, where Figueiredo had a point deducted and should have won. In the second match, Moreno submitted Figueiredo and became the new champ.
Another argument that can be made is that Figueiredo looked about as bad as he possibly could, and that will not happen again. Moreno looked perfect in that fight, too, with an increased urgency on grappling.
Looking at this final matchup, Figueiredo did not take that loss lightly. He has been training with Henry Cejudo and could withstand the entire five rounds if the fight tries to end up on the ground again.
Best Bet: Figueiredo wins via decision at +155
Michel Pereira vs. Andre Fialho Pick
Pereira is one heck of a dynamic striker, with the ability to catch fighters off guard. In addition, he also has an opponent that is stepping in on the short notice.
Fialho is no slouch here, with a handful of wins among PFL and Bellator. He is an aggressive striker that can also end a battle early.
Fialho’s best shot is for him to attack the body and keep attacks constant. Pereira typically has conditioning problems and looks sluggish after the first round.
However, Pereira has been improving over the last three fights. If he can win this one early, he will most likely have a shot at a bigger name and build his reputation.
