Toronto FC secured the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win on Decision Day. That win, however, came at a cost as striker Jozy Altidore sustained an injury that clouds his status for Saturday's opening-round playoff match against visiting D.C. United.

Toronto FC president Bill Manning told TSN Radio 1050 Toronto that it likely will be a game-day decision on the 29-year-old Altidore, who was absent from practice on Thursday.

Toronto FC and D.C. United (13-10-11) battled to a scoreless draw at BMO Field on May 15 and a 1-1 stalemate at Audi Field on June 29.

Wayne Rooney, who leads D.C. United with 11 goals, provided his club with a point in the more recent encounter after scoring on a penalty kick.

Toronto FC coach Greg Vanney addressed the notion of D.C. United having extra incentive in the playoffs with the former Manchester United legend departing the MLS club following this season.
