Preview

Try, try and try again.

Minnesota United (6-5-5, 23 points), which has had its last two games postponed because of positive COVID-19 tests, will try to play again on Sunday night when it hosts the slumping Houston Dynamo (4-7-7, 19 points) in Saint Paul, Minn.

The Loons have not played since a scoreless draw at Nashville SC on Oct. 6 after their scheduled contest at FC Dallas last Sunday was postponed after the team announced the night before that two players had tested positive. Wednesday night's home game against the Chicago Fire was also postponed just 75 minutes before kickoff due to another suspected positive rapid test.

Minnesota announced on Friday that all players and staff, including the individual that returned the positive result during the rapid diagnostic testing, had tested negative in two subsequent PCR tests and that the team would resume small group training on Saturday pending no further positive tests.

The Loons, who are just one point behind fourth-place Los Angeles FC in the Western Conference, bring in a three-game shutout streak behind the play of 23-year-old goalie Dayne St. Clair. The No. 7 overall pick of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft out of Maryland, St. Clair enters the contest with a team-record 290-minute goal-less streak and has four shutouts in his eight starts.

St. Clair took over for injured No. 1 Tyler Miller (hip surgery) and backup Greg Ranjitsingh (knee).

"He's proven he can play in the MLS," Minnesota coach Adrian Heath said. "And he'll only get better."

Houston, which is in 11th place in the West, has dropped three of its last four matches and comes in off a 3-1 home loss to Nashville SC on Wednesday, falling behind 3-0 in the first 23 minutes before ex-Loon Darwin Quintero broke the shutout in the 75th minute. It will be the fifth game in 16 days for the Dynamo.

"We have to keep moving forward," Houston coach Tab Ramos said. "The
