Preview

With the MLS playoffs fast approaching, there is no better time to get on track than the present for two teams that have not quite been at top form of late.

When the New England Revolution (10-10-10, 40 points) play host to Real Salt Lake (14-12-4, 46 points) on Saturday, they will be looking to shake a 1-2-4 stretch that has them in the seventh and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Revolution are just three points ahead of eighth-place Montreal and will enter off a 3-3 tie at Orlando City on Sept. 14, while letting a two-goal advantage wither away in the second half. New England has not tasted victory since defeating the Chicago Fire 2-1 on Aug. 24.

Keeping concentration and fighting for 90 minutes to get the three points, that's the mentality we will have on Saturday."

A victory on Saturday would give Revolution head coach Bruce Arena 701 career MLS points, which would make him the second MLS head coach to reach that mark. The late Sigi Schmid collected 843 career points.

Real Salt Lake are also three points ahead of the eighth-place Portland Timbers in the Western Conference, but because of a jammed-packed playoff chase, they are in fourth place. Looking up, the team is just four points in back of the second-place Seattle Sounders. Only seven teams from each conference make the playoffs.

Real Salt Lake are just 2-3-0 over their last five games and will enter off a 3-1 defeat to Minnesota United FC on Sunday.

"We're looking at it as there's four games left, they're all important, but we need to figure out how to go and collect some points," RSL interim head coach Freddy Juarez said. "New England is always hard to go into and collect some points. When you look at
