The Golden State Warriors will try to build on a dramatic come-from-behind win and stay unbeaten on the young season when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. After falling behind by 16 points midway through the third quarter on Friday at Utah, the Warriors crawled back and won 124-123 on a putback by Jonas Jerebko with three-tenths of a second remaining.
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 38 points as Golden State opened 2-0 for the first time since 2015-16. "To win that game in that way, that was really special," Jerebko, who played with the Jazz last season before being let go in the summer, told reporters after the victory. The Nuggets are 2-0 for the first time in seven years after rolling past Phoenix 119-91 on Saturday. Nikola Jokic recorded his first triple-double of the season (35 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists) while making all 11 of his shot attempts as Denver shot 50.6 percent from the floor.
